I was very disappointed to see that this new update seemingly does not include HDR support for the Xbox One S. Although this is a big update and the 4K enhancements are largely meant for the X, anytime a game has become 4KHDR enhanced, I’ve been able to experience the HDR side of it on the S and it breathes new life into the gameplay. Sadly it appears that this isn’t the case for MCC, unless the lack of inclusion on One S is unintentional.
Could others with an S and/or someone at 343 confirm that HDR is not present for the Xbox One S, and possibly give insight as to the technical reason(s) why? I notice that “Xbox One X Enhanced” does not appear in the “Capabilities” section in the Microsoft Store, both on my Xbox and on my computer, so is this something that simply has not rolled out for everyone?
