Can you please fix, the HDR is not working. My game looks so dull now, HDR brightness doesn’t do anything. Xbox menu look great, all other games look great, when I start Halo Wars 2 up as the opening credits start you see the colors change and nothing I can do about it. Was excited for HDR but would rather have it back the way it was, until then I guess back to PS4. Thanks
I agree. It is completely broken. I made a thread the day it came out. I play Gears 4, Forza Horizon 3 and watch UHD movies without any adjustments or anything and they all look bright, colorful and HDR is great…with Halo Wars 2 everything is dull and just really bad. I use the same input and the same settings on my TV as I do for my movies and Gears/Forza and have no issues, I even dialed in the in-game HDR setting as they recommend and it looks very dull and very bad regardless of what setting I have in the in-game HDR menu. It just seems like it is broken. It was a feature I was surprised that it was not in the game and now that it is I want it to go away. Please fix!

Yeah I’m glad not only one. I was so excited to that they were adding HDR to this game, but now I wish was way it was before. This needs to be fixed, it is horrible looking and I don’t even want to play it like this. Hopefully someone will respond and fix this soon.
I’ve flagged this for the team. Can you please share some additional details about what kind of setup you’re using? TV model? A few folks have sent me pics/videos on Twitter of before/after HDR. If you have anything like that please pass it along.
In our internal testing and personal experiences we’re not seeing this issue so we’d definitely like to understand what’s going on.

I have an LG OLED and after the HDR update, everything is white washed, dull and hard to look at.
Any news on this problem?
I have to turn hdr off manually via the Xbox settings every time I play Hw2. Image gets a dark toned overlay kind of feeling. Like a light dark “fog” all over the screen.
For reference the dark tone overlay problem is an reoccurring problem in some other games as well but is way worse in HW2. It is noticble in Gears 4 menus, but I get a great image quality in game.
Have an LG Oled 920v from 2015.
We are continuing to make improvements. There were some in the Jerome/Arbiter update and some more coming in the next update that should improve color. /spoilers.
I bought the new 2017 E7 old and it still did it. I found the fix for both my E7 oled and the EG9600 oled. It is all the RGB range the TV sets and this is determined by the icon you choose for your input. If you pick PC it goes full spectrum (even if xbox setting is set to RGB full) and white washes. If you choose game it will use the right spectrum and all is well. 
Is there going to be a fix for this eventually? Having to turn off / on HDR on my Xbox just to make this work seems like poor quality control.

There are some more fixes for HDR in the upcoming update, can you report back your experience once you get it?

The art in the menus and background of the main menu system have been said to look washed out with HDR enabled. I’m saying the Hellbringer and Locust effects look brighter and have a higher color range that’s easier for me to detect then most stuff. I honestly can’t tell easily without some of the more colorful effects going.

I’m not sure you’re understanding what my issue is. I have HDR enabled on my TV and my Xbox, but it’s not working with this game. The game isn’t sending the signal to the Xbox/TV to activate HDR. It was working at one point, then without me changing any settings it stopped coming on.

You are saying there is no signal what-so-ever?
