This update with HDR is not working. The game looks so dull now, no color or brightness at all. Nothing works, it’s not my tv or setup. Everything from Xbox menu to all my games look great, Halo Wars 2 now looks horrible, can someone respond or give a update about this please. Would love to play my game and want to try out Johnson. Can we get a fix or take it back the way it was?
Please outline what your setup is, what settings you have, and all of the details regarding cables and devices you are using.
Even though everything works fine elsewhere, it could still be the setup having a setting that just doesn’t mesh well. Also, could you please capture footage and link it here to show the devs what problem it is you are seeing with it?
It would be really helpful to understand your setup - particularly your TV. Also, as noted above, if it’s possible at all to even take an off-screen picture of the before/after that would be super helpful - launch HW2 w/ HDR enabled and take a photo, turn off HDR in your Xbox One S and take another photo so we can see what your seeing. In our testing here it looks fine so we’d like to understand what’s happening on your end. thanks

I hope the team is looking into this. It is broken for me as well. I have a Sony 940d HDR 4k set, all my other HDR games output completely fine as does my UHD movies. It is only with this game that is an issue. One thing I tested was using the in-game HDR setting and it has no effect regardless of the setting. I have changed the in-game HDR setting it all the way down to zero, and then all the way to the max and there is ZERO visual difference in the image. Game just looks dull and muted. In other games like Forza Horizon, when you change the HDR setting in-game you can see a difference, but for some reason in this game it does not make no changes and just produces a dull/muted image.
anyone else having issues with HDR on Halo WArs 2? The game looks dull , all my other games look vibrant except this one. I’ve turned brightness up and down and no changes .
