No seriously bro. U can look it up. That locked stuff was Watchdog skin. Do you think we would leave them alone because on Nov 15 u know what they did, they murder my boy SR152 Watchdog Skin Armor. We all were ready to pick up our sticks and forks at 343 but Unyshake on twitch stream said there but be some mistake with the Armor Coating. So we waited for Official launch but they didn’t fix it so we all reported it and now sr152 weapon happened. U can see posts say the cant see there previous HCS event skin even now. But its all good bro if u unlock it now as i mentioned above messages we don’t hate anyone who got it, we hate wat 343 did.

At 0:04 mark you see 4 AR coatings. The 4th is locked. THAT one is HCS winter. It is clearly not Watchdog as Watchdog doesn’t have blue in the logo. Go check for yourself.
Here another YouTube video from december 17th: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KOUHtTXZumQ At 1:00 in the video you see 6 Sidekick skins. The first 2 are unlocked, the last four are locked. The HCS winter Sidekick skin is clearly visible. It is not the last skin, but the one right next to it with the red, white and blue and the black center/core.
So, my point is that these skins were visible in game since launch. THAT’S when Mint Blitz and everybody else should’ve said: “take these skins out of the game, they look too much like Watchdog.” But they didn’t. They asked for this only 3 days before the event, when there was nothing 343 could’ve done in such a short time frame.
Tldr for you: we knew, we made posts. Once it was announced and big names took notice we started to be heard by a lot of people. There, do you want me to shorten it even more?

How did i miss it. I have a post thats been has lot of people discussing about SR152. I should have put this as well. But in any case if u got the skin rock that skin, we don’t hate anyone who got it but we hate wat 343 did.

As far as I can see, this is your first thread and the only one from november. Or is there some other thread you mean?

There was another that was deleted by a moderator due to it being one of a few I had made to continue the issue of the coating in november/december. Although I considered it a 2nd issue to the armor coating, it was mentioned just slightly as I hadnt seen it in 1st person, after the twitch event I made my newest post.
It’s all good. 
I hope one day people who reached 152 will get the armor coating that was promised. And I wouldn’t even have minded if the HCS winter skins for the AR, BR and Sidekick were replaxed with something else. My only problem was this was all asked days before the event and not in Nov or Dec.

I’ve seen some pretty bad threads, but this was one of my worst reads by far. So much aggression from so many people, so many opinions that nobody sees as equal. Sure, some of us don’t get the reason to grind for something in a game, some people don’t understand why it’s worth complaining about, but some people just don’t understand that something which might mean the world to us means less than a grain of sand to them. I know I cried when I saw that Spartan Rank 152 pack pop up on my screen, but you might wonder why it’s even worth considering a special occasion, let alone reason to shed tears. It’s okay if people disagree with each other, but please. All I ask is that we understand that some of us are here because we feel we’ve been pushed to the back and turned into an item you’d find at a yard sale, not a museum. Others of us are here because we don’t get why it’s such a big deal. “It’s just a cosmetic, no reason to get so mad.” Some of us are probably just here to be unproductive with our posts, but I won’t go into details. The point is that we’re all here for our own reasons, and none of us are really willing to hear each other out because we’re all angry and bitter from months of being ignored or hearing people demanding to stop being ignored. I am NOT saying that we need to agree, because I’m immensely proud of my 152 status and refuse to stop being proud of it because of a differing opinion. But I am open to at least hearing what makes you feel different, whether it be you didn’t hit 152 so you don’t give a damn about the people who did, whether it be your feelings are that it’s just a game and that we’re all overreacting, whether it be that you just want to spite us for some reason or other, but remember that your problems with all this might not be my problems, so I’m just asking that we avoid any more wildfires like the beginning of this lovely thread seemed to be. Thank you!

As someone who hit 152, the coatings aren’t the same and I’m able to tell a difference pretty easily. I still enjoy my watchdog coatings.

This is the real answer. I haven’t grinded for a single weekly challenge. Why would I when they’ll probably put in the shop or give it away for free.
No. People realized it was the wrong armour the second they got it. I did.
I noticed, and figured it would take them a year to fix…
There are plenty of posts about this before the hcs event.
The issue is all posts everywhere were met with silence, and now the armour we should have gotten was given away for free.

What does HCS have to do with the Watchdog armor coating?
Wait, are you confusing armor coatings with weapon coating? Because no armor coatings were give during last Anaheim HCS event. Only an emblem, a stance and 3 weapon coatings. Quick update: The posts of December that had the HCS subject touched upon were erased after I got one locked because it continued the subject from November, that one should still be up.
By HCS event, people refer to the twitch drops. I do believe he confused the word armor for weapon.
Lastly we’ve talked with people who work on the making of renders and items. Its a fact that if 343 were to still have that which they used for the renders in December of 2020 the fix for the coating wouldve been easy and short.
Considering all of this, the most likely result is outsourcing being the issue. They most likely gave the coating designs to another company and because of the lack of communication they replicated the watchdogs weapon coating for the HCS rewards.
Though I can wait, Id like for them to announce that eventually theyll fix and compensate for these msitakes made by a clear lack of communication.
