HCS shaders not showing up

Both my Twitch and Waypoint accounts say linked/connected and I’ve claimed both rewards (weapon and armour shaders) from Twitch, but nothing is showing up in game. I also made sure to link the accounts before watching the live streams.

I’m just wondering what I’ve done wrong?

When you linked you Twitch.tv account on HaloWayPoint was your account listed by name or just “…”

If you claim it while it’s “…” you won’t get the items. You’ll probably need to rewatch the streams on a fresh new twitch.tv . But don’t claim them till you see an actual name when you link your twitch.tv account to HaloWayPoint.

I’ve been speculating that ad blocker is interfering with it, because I was able to link instantly using a web browser ( googles ) with no add block enabled on it.

Damn…it just has “…” instead of my username :frowning: I’ll have to rewatch them because I don’t really want to miss out on getting them. Thank you.

i refreshed my page on it and it worked, but idk

That’s how it worked for me… I claimed the weapon coat when it was “…” and got nothing, even after KittStargazer showed up. But the Spartan skin worked fine with my name there. I created a new twitch.tv account and rewatched the one channel for another chance at the gun skin and it worked. Don’t “Claim” the drops till your name shows up on HaloWayPoint instead of the “…”.

I just created a new Twitch account and it’s linked with my name now showing  Hopefully it works this time. Thanks again

I feel like a total moron now… I don’t have time tomorrow for watching the streams… damn this friggin bugged up system…

They may give people the items later. But I was never one to rely on “maybe’s”.

@TOBIAXD117 Do not worry. You are not the moron my friend, this is entirely 343’s fault.

Not to call anyone a moron mind you. But if they did this as a means to deter people from using ad blockers like I suggested it’s not their fault either. You don’t like how they do things doesn’t unnecessary make them wrong.

It’s more of an “it sucks” situations, but it is what it is…

I was simply letting the other person know that this cannot be their fault. Especially when 343 or whoever orchestrated this, didn’t even explain any of the specifics… they only said “link up accounts and watch specific streams.” Any extra hoops that needed to be jumped through should have been clarified to us all.

343’s incompetence is just comical at this point. How do you fail at something so basic as a Twitch promotion?
