HCS, Below 20,000

Ooh. Yikes.

That does not look good.

EDIT: There seems to be a misunderstanding.

I doubt most players care about the sport itself. Gods, why would they? But people showing up for the drops shows a willingness/desire to engage with the system at all. That so few are present even for that is what’s wrong.

Ok

Fox, four months ago that number was nearly 100k.

This is not good. I know you think the game is doing fine but I REALLY don’t think that’s the case anymore.

i find this nonsense, a tournament is for real sports, soccer, american football, golf, formula 1, hockey, olympics, this is nothing, and in chats everyone yells, im here for the drops, and i think everyone/the majority is. and when they have the drop they immediat leave XD they say : 100% , im here for the drop, goodbye everyone

I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN, everyone who know this game can only think and know instant what the numbers mean…

It’s a reflection of a declining overall playerbase. Hopefully the additions of Forge and Co-op will bring some people back (especially considering Forge’s potential for new multiplayer maps) but I seriously doubt it.

The drops are incentives, but I have never given a rat’s backside WHY someone is there.

The drops show interest in playing at all. Seeing so few…? That ain’t good.

I mean, yeah.

oooh this one people, is not for the topic, the topic is very true!! this quote is for what i find about hc, it is just not a real sport like soccer or olympics

Why would I want to watchchoppy theatre mode where most of the time the reticule dont even line up.

People feel more incentivised by earning cosmetic loot than enjoying the game.

Maybe the game isn’t that fun, but people keep coming back for that carrot.

To be fair, the tourney times were very early this weekend for NA people and it’s also EU teams.

Imo the only thing enticing with the drops was the sidekick and emblem the sniper is another recolor of red that is similar to a few others so alot people most likely got those two on the first day and didn’t continue watching for the drop for the next day

the grassroots coating for armor has changed to primal glory

I noticed the name change as well.

when i saw that sniper coating i immediat saw it were the same colors as that of the armor coating

I thunk the broadcast times being so crazy compared yo usual, because this regional wad in Europe, had a viewing impact for sure.

The grand finals were starting at like 10am on the west coast

It was only a regional EU tourney - Although considering it was DreamHack Valencia Im more concerned how many was at attendance than watching the stream. Especially when you could hear the roars from the crowds coming from another tournament going on.

Once again another person in the year 2008. Esports are bigger than most sports these days. You’re behind on the times.

This event was EU.

Nobody cares about EU.

Orlando will have 100k again.

Also no PC community = small Esports scene

Cater to working class Dads and little kids means lower interest in the game
