Hayabusa armor and Katanassassinations

I want Hayabusa armor back. I’m sure a large part of the community and the players too. But if she comes back I would like her to come back in the following terms:

1 ° To earn the armor, the player is required to complete the game on legendary (solo), find all the hidden skulls (like Halo 3) and to gain the sword (Katana), it is necessary to reach the highest position in the MP.

2 ° Upon reaching the last rank in multiplayer the player will unlock the Katanassassinations: special assassinations with the Katana.

3 ° It would be nice an achievement in which the player must perform all Katanassassinations, and could be called “Cut of the Samurai” or “Samurai Rage”.

That’s just my suggestion, but if you like, share it with your friends or community members and if possible, make a post about it (we need about 30 posts for someone that’s 343 “take a look” )

I don’t want to have to beat the Legendary campaign solo to unlock the armor. Too difficult. I’d rather we just have to find the skulls for the different armor pieces (like Halo 3). The actual katana could be a solo Legendary unlockable. Or like Halo 3, it could once again be earned by getting a certain number of achievements.

I like the katana assassination ideas though.

I personally disliked the armor. Sure, it looked cool, but I thought it was just “there”. I thought the Katana was just “there” as well. Now, I’m pretty sure the only reason the Hayabusa armor made an appearance in Halo 3, was because Bungie made a deal with the creators of the Dead or Alive series. (Correct me if I’m wrong on that). The only possible way to make the Hayabusa armor appear in the next Halo 5 was if 343i made that same deal. We already have the Raider armor that could be considered as a spiritual successor, i.e samurai-like asthetics.

Yeah… OP, doesn’t matter how many people post they want Hayabusa back, it has a VERY high chance of not happening, I understand people LOVE the Hayabusa, but you need to understand the the fine details of why that armor hasn’t been in later games.

The reasons were either they didn’t have the time to finish it (unlikely, since they could’ve finished it and released it in the Champions Bundle DLC), they didn’t have space on the disc for it (also unlikely because of the Champions Bundle DLC), or they didn’t have permission to use it (odd because the CQB helmet in H3 and Reach was based off of Samus’ armor in Metroid). Or maybe it is fake, doesn’t matter.

Yes, we all know what Hayabusa is and no, Raider is not as cool as Hayabusa. But, what we are saying is thta 343 would not be able to put Hayabusa in the game without permission from the DoA teams. The model was made by an artist who may or may not have been commisioned to make it- maybe he was trying to get the feel for designing armour, or maybe 343 did have a deal with the DoA guys but it fell through. Whatever the situation, it is currently highly unlikely that Hayabusa will come back, no matter how hard we plead.

Although I do actually prefer Raider and I felt the images you provided showed Hayabusa in a cool pose and Raider in the default, Waypoint pose.

Dude, I swear it feels like you didn’t actually read my post, just saw that I was saying it’s not coming back, and that what I said was complete and utter BS to you.
I did say “I understand you love the hayabusa” I didn’t want a reply explaining the fine details of why you love it, ok, we’re not here to discuss that, we’re here to discuss it coming back.

You’re right! I’m sorry, I didn’t know you knew the ins and outs of the copyrights!/sarcasm
Hayabusa would be easy to put into Halo 5, yes, but getting permission to do so is the main issue, it’s like me browsing your car without your permission. All but, instead of just two guys, it’s two game developer companies both with a team of layers and copyright laws, which is anything BUT easy.

Let me guess, you saw a image or two with armor that looks similar to the Hayabusa armor, but with 343’s logo, Spartan 4ish armor look, and liquid development?

I’ve seen that same armor, and tho it may look like it’s real, I highly doubt it’s an official 343i project, it’s most likely a concept model that one of the modelers did in his spare time, or it was an actual armor that could of gone into the game, but was then shut down because of legal copyright issues. which btw is anything BUT easy.

I didn’t like Hayabusa in Halo 3, and was so glad when they took it out also the sword on the back looked really dumb.

I never betray team mates ever or boot them unless they kill me for a weapon, but if Hayabusa came back I would betray and make who ever wearing that armor game hell…

I don’t know the terms of the copyright.
It could apply only to the name of the armor, or to it’s visible likeness as well.
If it’s only name-based, 343i could totally reintroduce the armor.
However, it would have another name.

Either way, while I’d undoubtedly be excited to see it return, I wouldn’t be very disappointed if it didn’t.

However, I really like the idea of getting unique assassinations.
How about this?

Most everyone would like new VidMasters.
So why not design a new armor similar to Hayabusa that would be “THE Armor”?
Otherwise known as the new age Recon.
In addition to unlocking this special armor, the player is also rewarded with a special emblem, and unique katanasassinations.

I think Hayabusa armor is the best in the series for me. I think it would look fantastic in future Halos, considering we can also change the visor color now.

If I had to guess, it’d have to be because everyone and their dog wore it, and it doesn’t look Halo.

I mostly hate it because it doesn’t feel Halo, and everyone was wearing it, and everyone acts like it’s a god send.

This is exactly how I felt. Hayabusa only appeared in Halo 3 to pay homage to Ryu Hayabusa and the creators of the Dead or Alive series. I doubt that it’s going to return in future Halos. And in all honesty, I prefer the Raider armor.

If you do a search for why it’s not in the current halo the reason is because it was designed and inspired from a game (I can’t remember the name sorry) and the armour is copyrighted so there is basically no chance it will ever come back (it’s the actual armour design).

Also the shinobi armour is inspired by samari/ninja’s I think as cool/cooler than the hayabusa
