I’m not finding NO matches, but it’s definitely taking longer?
I checked out Xbox One’s most played games and Halo 5 is already #9. And this is around the time (the evening) where po-Yoink-tion peaks in Halo. Usually games sitting in this area have around anywhere from 10,000-30,000 players, and that’s pretty low.
Anyways. Anyone else having trouble finding matches? It could be my connection as well. Because even though that number is low, it should still be a good enough number to find matches consistently.
Edit: I have no idea why it’s blocking out the word “p o p u l a t i o n”. What the heck? Lol.
Pop(you)lation…is extremely low. It was probably around 30,000-50,000 about a week ago. Last night it literally too me 20 minutes to find a game at Onyx in Slayer, Breakout, and Arena.
I’m finding matches pretty consistently, sometimes have more trouble getting through the first couple of stages when searching. I mean the ones that connect to the servers and stuff but I think my connection just sucks (I have at least a couple of seconds of lag at some point in most matches) but for the most part I find matches quickly. Have you tried closing the game and opening it again after you’ve turned your Xbox off and back on again? I’ve had it a couple of times where I’ve turned my Xbox off, come back on and because of the Xbox One’s functionality of keeping sessions open, I go straight back into Halo 5 and I have issues finding matches. I think it’s something to do with the way it thinks it’s connected to the servers still but it actually isn’t and therefore can’t connect, but that’s just a guess. Try closing it and opening again if it takes longer than 30 seconds to find a game?
Edit: By the way thanks for making a post that is potentially negative constructive and intelligent, not just a “omg 343 u suck these arent dedicated servers CoD is better” and actually asking for other people’s experiences.

I’m sure they have, seeing they purposely withheld pop counters. I wouldn’t be surprised if their “coming soon” social playlists aren’t actually just the removal of ranks from playlists that are struggling to hold a healthy # of players.

Yeah, I’m gonna try resetting everything when I get back home and see if it works better. Because it seems like it’s on my end. Thanks!

I made the mistake of mocking the webmaster for not being able to use regex and having to manually ban obscenities not realizing that anyone who doesn’t know about those probably doesn’t know how to code exceptions.
