Having problems, please help

I cannot access the Anniversary map pack from my Halo: Reach disc, I cannot play the playlist or play the maps in forge/custom games. The Xbox Marketplace says I have the map pack downloaded but Reach says I don’t, I just tried to re-download it but that didn’t fix the problem. I’ve redeemed the code that you get with Halo CE: Anniversary so I don’t see why there is a problem, I no longer have Anniversary because I sold it and my only way of playing the Anniversary maps is from Reach, which unfortunately, doesn’t work. If you have had this problem before and know how to fix it please leave a reply.

Kind regard.

Hmmm… Try clearing your Xbox system cache, then re-updating your version of Reach.

How would I go about doing that?

On the Xbox dashboard scroll over to “Settings”, then go into “System”. Click “Storage”. On your preferred storage device (Say, your HDD) press Y to enter the device options, then select “Clear System Cache”. Then select “Yes”

Wait until it completes, then just start up Reach again. You’ll be prompted to update.

Hopefully that will fix it.

Reset your xbox, or be connected to Live before playing Halo Reach. How many times have you tried playing the map pack?

I really thought that was going to work, it didn’t though :frowning:

Dangit… I don’t know what else there is to do. Hopefully someone else more experienced can assist you :c

I’m going to delete the map pack from my hard drive and then try re-downloading it again, last time I tried to re-download it I didn’t delete it, so hopefully this should work, thanks for your suggestion though

Multiple times over the last couple of months, it’s only now that I’ve decided to ask for help.

Try deleting the map pack from your HD and then redownload it. If that doesn’t work, try clearing your HD’s cache and then try again.

Tried the cache earlier, it did’t work, just tried deleting it from HD and then re-downloading it, that also didn’t work, I feel like i’m the only person in the world that this is happening to… :frowning:

Have you tried talking to Xbox support about it? I am all out of ideas unfortunately. :frowning:

That just seems like too much effort for something that should’nt even happen anyway. I guess i’m just going to have to leave it and let Reach tell me that I don’t have the map pack even though my hard drive and the marketplace says I do… :\

Have you tried recovering your profile too?

Also, it’s not too bad talking to them. Give them a shout on twitter, they’re REALLY good about answering and might have better ideas than I have. Just send them a message @XboxSupport. They’ve never let me down.

I’ll try their twitter, thanks

Did you download the maps on another Xbox? If so, then you’ll have to transfer your license to be able to play on the Anniversary maps. I was having similar problems with the Noble and Defiant maps, and this solved my problem.

Press the guide button, scroll to Settings all the way to the right, go to Account Management, click on License Transfer, follow the on-screen prompts, and then try re-downloading the map pack.

I didn’t download them from/on another Xbox or HD, I have no idea why this is happening. :\
