Receiving message “There was an issue with Halo 5: Guardians Servers, Please try again.”

A console reboot does not fix it.

Make sure there is no general service outage. Xbox Support, also try resetting your router.

It happened after attempting to join a specific fireteam. All subsequent attempts to join the lobby, either in his fireteam or by myself failed. I was able to restart the game and invite the other person to mine and got in.

Try reseting your internet and then hard reseting your xbox.
