I am personally a fan of reach’s armour customization in really all ways, but I know some people don’t really like the gritty, worn look of reach’s variants. I really think it would be cool to have a slider of sorts to customize the worn look of the armour to have the best of both worlds.
Sounds like a great idea. That would appeal to a lot of people and would be fun to see how all the different armors look fresh and worn.
That would be awesome. I would love to see this in future Halo games
This would be an awesome idea. Not only will it give more aesthetic variety in-game, but I can definitely tell the Machinima community would have fun with it. An example scene could be a flashback, a squad of fresh new Spartans, and jump-cut to the same Spartans, older and battle-tested now. Now that would be really cool.
I liked the gritty worned out armor, it shows how dark of a time they were in… Spartan IV are lucky to have infinity’s armor bay, repair their armor any time… Yet we can’t make cool cosmetic modifications?
I support this idea!
They should also add a color brightness slider because lots of people hate bright colors (not me of course, I love bright vivid colors)

This is a brilliant idea.
I had to do a double take because of how awesome this idea is. Yes please!
Great idea but not gonna happen, they would have to create texture masks for each and every armour piece unless they did it procedural in which case unless the armour has insanely neat UV maps you could run into distortion, seams and warping.

not necessarily. Look at the new flats pieces in the forge mode. The texture of the ground depends on the location relative to the map. This wallpaper effect could be used for armor texture as well.

Never though about that actually XD but even still they would have to modify the armours and materials to be compatible, have to say though I really like the texture projection system its a very interesting feat.

Really like this, some of the colours seem so toned down!
