Havent played in a hot minute

Infinite in its entirety wasn’t ready to be released. This has been seen time and time again. Also for the first time I actually can say fully believing it, that the things being patched as of now is for the pro teams in mp.

Minor thing now-
Campaign- There is nothing there, no replay value. Nothing is gained by playing it over again. Sad to say but I think the open world aspect was done wrong. The story was below par.

What matters now-
Multiplayer. Listen it matters, but they went total e-sports with it. You can only do so much now. All the fun game modes are gone. The current weapon pool would be unbalanced with game modes like infection.

Forge, the one thing people want is nowhere in sight from what I’ve heard.

So all those months ago when people asked, “what was 343 doing?” I think is a valid question. I seen studios half the size pull off more during covid.

The state of this game frustrates me.
There absolutely should be a road map at this point.

This will be week 4 in a row for me

After multiple reboots and a ballooning budget 343 was probably forced to go with this build which has a myriad of problems not easily fixed. The rumors about some of these issues really don’t have make me optimistic for any significant changes or improvements anytime soon. Their hands are full/tied trying to deliver features that should have launched with the game.
I haven’t played it in months myself. This wouldn’t be the first game in a beloved series that doesn’t get more than one playthrough from me.

I’ve been playing pretty much daily (except last weekend - was confined to bed).

Still having a lot of fun. Lucky I guess, but the core game-play just gels.

I only did the first run through on Heroic. Loved it. But will probably wait to do Legendary when their is co-op and/or a way to select missions out of order.

The wait for Forge / Scripting and (hopefully) a custom’s browser have been infuriatingly painful.

But that’s where the fun game modes hang out.

And we know Infection is coming. Again, the wait :(.

And I wouldn’t worry about the “current” weapon pool. They will either provide the classic selection we need - or the ability to change up the function of what we have.

We obviously can’t talk about any of the (tasty) leaks so far.

And the recent blog post was quite supportive.

Hoping for a Season 2 flight leading into a Season 3 release.

Again. Frustrating. But hopefully well worth the wait.

It does. But there is still a lot of fun to be had.

Definitely.

Today marks 5 weeks without playing a single match. I’ll be back for MEDIC! and any other new achievements later but otherwise I’ve moved on to other games.

what i find most boring about the campaign is the yoinking grappling hook. it is literally a grapple simulator

I just want to touch on the campaign stuff.

Open world is sweet in general. I think everyone could agree on that. I just think were done wrong. (Which I could explain if wanted). This is why I think simple story missions would have been better.

with so many things happening off screen or a storyline dropped/ changed and it’s noticeable, it hurts. I like the direction of John’s character, who he is as a person vs who he is as a spartan. The rest was hard to get behind.

Ironically I think that if it was infinite use and everyone had one in multiplayer, I’d probably still be playing. Or if there was a mode like that.

I think grappling might’ve been the highlight of the game for me in all honesty lol

Me too.

Grappling to move around, to grab enemies, to escape from enemies was pretty cool in Campaign. Especially once you unlocked enough cores and upgraded everything.

It’s fun in PvP too, but the 80% of my matches are at 250 ms ping time because the bloody matchmaking server thinks Alberta Canada is closer to Amsterdam than Seattle (which would be 25 ms ping times). It’s unplayable so I uninstalled it.

The game took years to make. Embarrassing

Absolutely, a road map is very essential for AAA title.
