Have you trully played COD?

Enough to know how it is, how it works, what skill requires?

Enough to difference Reach from MW or WW2 games?

If not, you haven´t truly played it to blindly hate it.

I think I have over 30 days of playtime in CoD overall.
Played every CoD game up to MW2.
Not proud of it though.

Let me just say this; friends can make any piece of -Yoink- game playable.

So yes, I know how it works.

How it is: Crappy
How it works: Horrible
What skill requires: None

Halo is nothing like it, and it will never be.

CoD, skill?
lol m’dear.

Sure it requires some skill but to play it competative is a joke. It doesn’t nearly require enough.

I have 2 days and 8 hours logged in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. I think I know how it works.

it only takes 10mins to figure out CoD …

> I have 2 days and 8 hours logged in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. I think I know how it works.

You only need an hour.

You only need to watch a youtube gameplay video

To me, CoD has been the realistic shooter, while Halo has been the arcade shooter. Both games are great. Both games have loyal fans. Both fans seem to hate each other. Circle of life I suppose.

No it si-fi, not arcade

To Bad Maxium 7: You´re just a hater, it has great, variated and hollywood like campaigns and a fun multiplayer, and yes it takes skill.

To LegacyXx: It isn´t to be played competitive, just for fun´s sake.

Commander Will: No, you don´t.

Casual gamer: No game is realistic, Battlefield,CoD, Medal of Honor nor Halo.

Why the hate? it has good campaigns and a fun multiplayer.

Halo, CoD, and Battlefield are all different games and i think it’s unfair to compare any of them against each other.

CoD is definitely an instant gratification type game, anyone can pick up a controller and do pretty well. But there really is so much more to the game. If you think CoD is the easiest game you’ve ever played then i beg you to go play some Search and Destroy.

No, however, I have falsely played CoD.

Played all of them from CoD 3 through to black ops. Didn’t pick up MW3 because I have no interest in a MW2 map pack with a free survival mode.

No, it takes good connection, and the hit detection to be on your side.

Camping, camping and even more camping. :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s really sad, because a lot of people that bash it have hardly played it.

People need to get a clue that it’s beating out Halo because it appeals to more players. Not because it’s a ‘casual-fest’. Competitive CoD exists just as much as competitive Halo does.

People often formulate their opinions after jumping into CoD and going 19-0 against 4 year olds. It’s funny, because it’s the exact thing you can do in Halo if you play basically anything other than MLG.

Im a 1st prestige in MW2 and an inheritor in halo reach.

COD sucks yoink. It makes good kids feel below average when going 30/20 and makes noobs feel good when going 18/20
Halo is awesome. It makes bad kids feel like trash when going 1/18 and makes good kids feel like gods while going 30/5

-Yoink-, cods skill gap is non existent.

CoD takes aiming skill and an understanding of the spawn system and choke points on the map.

Anyway the main way Halo is copying CoD is the instant gratification, (instant respawn, medals for as many actions as possible) and the cheap psychological tricks to keep stupid humans playing (new spartan ops missions spread out through a month, everyone is a winner mentality, and a progression system to unlock everything).

This wouldn’t be so horrible if they didn’t have to sacrifice the integrity of the game and what made Halo, Halo.

I have certainly played enough CoD to form an opinion on it. It’s just a see em’- shoot em’ game. Very minimal depth, although map control is still prevalent amongst top teams.
