My brother told me that it’s possible to get in the Phaeton before they do. Apparently, it plays like a standard Phaeton and is destroyed when the corresponding Soldier is killed.
That’s what my brother says, so I’m not sure how true it is.
Would be nice if you show the perspective of the guy who hijacked it since you recorded it in theatre mode.

it wasn’t hijacked but I was surprised to see that’s how they spawn the enemy Phaeton up in WZ FF on that map at that time in the game. I always thought they just spawned the Phaeton and pilot in the air as you see them do in other cases. It would be great if all the enemy Phaetons pilots had to get into the Phaeton first thereby giving you a small window of chance to hijack one.
OP why didn’t you run up to it and see for yourself, you just stood there.

I actually got to the platform where the two phaeton helios spawn and I tried to ride it but no text said to ride it.Also when the soldier got in the phaeton it also had no text to hijack.

Yup sorry guys 
You used to be able to steal those phaeons, but killing you in the Phaeton would give the enemy team a boss kill. Guess it got patched out by now.
I really wish boarding standard enemy vehicles (not bosses) was a thing for WZFF. It really feels like they removed hijacking just to get us to use Reqs.
You can’t get into those…
I don’t know if you can or not because every phaeton I ever see is always 5 miles in the air or way to far away in the first place.

I did the same thing and never got a prompt to enter the vehicle. I wish they would put hijacking into warzone. They could balance it by making the vehicles weaker as soon as you get in.

Yeah and I don’t get that they have the phaeton helios skin but dont function like one.
There’s one round in Warzone Firefight on Attack on Sanctum where you’re fighting the 4 Knights, and I’ve managed to hijack one of the Phaetons, on more than one occasion. All I did was EMP it with a Plasma Pistol and board it.
Mind you, that was months ago when I still played Halo 5, maybe it’s been patched by now.

I’ve hijacked a phaton in firefight just use a plasma pistol

I remember seeing pilots spawn outside of the phaetons and they had to get into them, I should’ve experimented with the amount of time it took for the -Yoink- ai to get into the vehicle (seriously he took like 5 seconds when he was right next to it).
