Hi everyone - this is my first post. Be gentle!!
Only just picked up MCC - had my first foray into MP and been trying to play some team slayer playlists (yeah I know, boring!).
Matchmaking is slow, but manageable, and I can see the “maps in this playlist” as it finds players. However after every single game I see the results screen and my only option is: “B to continue” (nothing else happens, there don’t seem to be any other prompts or “loading” messages).
However when I do this it boots me back to the MP menu and I have to start match making all over again for every single game. Laborious!
How can I play multiple maps in one matchmaking session, rather that restarting for each and every map??
Now I’ve only played a little online MP across all the Halo games - but I could have sworn that normally once players are found you play together on a whole playlist of maps - not just one at a time??
I’m aware of the problems and patches, but equally as a little bit of an online MP luddite I and could just be missing something in the GUI that allows me to continue with that group? Bear in mind I don’t have many XBL friends to party up with, I just want to jump into a few maps of Halo 2 Anniversary without having to start over!
Help appreciated!
Many thanks in advance
There is no way to do what you are asking. That WAS a function of the game when it first came out, but it only made the problems people were dealing with much worse, so they removed it. This system was like it was in Halo 2.
If you ever need somebody to play campaign let me know.
its halo 2 its always been like that
I hate when people say its halo 2 its always been like that. Just because it was 10 years ago doesnt mean its fun or should be like that. Having to research every time is lame and sucks. They need to fix it.

shhhhhhhhhhhh
Thanks everyone - sounds like a shame, and a massive step backwards, but also something they might patch back in. I’m not a big online MP guy, but put a little time into Reach and 4 MP and thought they were fun and pretty user friendly. I was hoping MC was going to be the game to convert me into someone who doesn’t just play the campaign!
Now trying to play the beta but with no luck
Hope you get to enjoy it!
Ya I guess it would cut down on search times and encourage competitiveness, some of the trash talk in-between matches was fun too. The problem is when a person would leave the lobby, it wouldn’t find more players to replace them, it would usually involve me and my friends re-booting, re-joining, and then re-searching… … …
