Has anyone else been experiencing more lag lately? Played throughout the day with people warping around the map, shots not landing, nothing registering yet players still moving and the worst thing of all…aiming going all wonky…
Lately I have been teleporting on expanded even when my home internet has been perfect. I should never have a connection chosen for me bad enough to teleport. And I dont think I was. I think the server was slower and that in conjunction with the lag bogged it down hardcore. What were you searching on? How is your home internet? Has your internet changed at all?
Same here except I’ve been searching on balanced. My internet hasn’t changed and I would say is pretty strong. I’m hard wired from my modem to the xbox and NAT is showing as open. It’s the reason why I’m posting. It just hasn’t been feeling right. Wanted to see if other people have been experiencing the same issues and if there will be a solution.
I haven’t played a ton of Halo 5 lately, but I’ve noticed people on Twitch experiencing significantly more lag than usual, lately.
As of late ive noticed more lag then usual. Actually more then I have seen on this game yet… These servers just seem very shaky. They really have never been ideal. And it is well known on several social media posts players are chiming in on… About 2 nights ago every game had crazy lag and it effected all players through the night. I even got a few messages saying things like “can you believe this crap”! Its good humor but yet true.

Well, the servers for Halo 5 have always been unstable, but I would put the blame for the increased lag that we’ve seen recently on Xbox Lives shoulders. Live has been having some serious issues the past few days for everyone. My friends and I have noticed some real performance issues starting about a week ago, so it’s probably that coupled with the already iffy servers.

Most of the time I can’t tell with my awful internet, but there will be times where I’m home alone, no one on the internet, every device that can connect to the WiFi will be turned off and I’ll still lag even with an Ethernet cable.
Xbox live was having issues last night.
It’s also got kind of crazy how long the wait times are now.
When it was at its best I could search balanced any time of the day and night. Very rarely saw lag with exeption to certain times of the day but never any thing that would hinder my shots. I could proudly say that my 1st 1000 games had less than 1% dnf.
I’m wondering if this maybe all started from them trying to fix an issue people were maybe making up cause when people were complaining the 1st time around I didn’t see what they were on about till they brought in some fixes then things started going down hill.

I think Microsoft accounts were down or some thing. I couldn’t sign into my account and it kept saying could not download file when ever I clicked on the sign in bar.
Glad I’m not the only one, I thought it was just my connection, but yes, I’ve been experiencing a lot of lag recently. I’ve had times where action on my screen stops completely for a few seconds then catches up and I hear all the shots that occurred while my game wasn’t relaying info to me, and I’ll be somewhere else in the room or dead. Very frustrating.

I have been getting a lot more issues about the time that Halo Wars 2 came out. Seems as if most of the time and server space is being spent on that instead of Halo 5.
It was so bad this weekend I took a break for a few days. It’s BAD BAD BAD.
I have a theory. The population is getting so low that parameters have been expanded and where I was playing a guy only a few states away, I’m now probably playing someone on the other side of the planet. No one can deny that the population is lower than any Halo ever at this point.
Played one game yesterday that was the worst I’ve ever had and I would say 99.5% of the time I’ve played the game I never have any. I say that to say that this one match was so bad yesterday that my weapon pickups were even delayed.
There was a DDOS attack against Xbox Live last night, and the servers were even down for about two hours. Something kind of strange though, there was server lag for me even before last night, and my internet is pretty great and doesn’t lag with any other game.
