EDIT: Solved
I switched xboxs recently and redownloaded the maps from my download history. But for some reason it keeps sending me to the marketplace.
If i go into a custom game lobby for example, i can see all the maps, but then there is a symbol next to them (and arrow pointing down over an xbox). When i click on the map to select it to play, it asks if i want to go to the xbl marketplace. If i go there, i dont even see the map packs there, just the war games map pass.
Anyone know the cause of this?
also i get this when i boot up halo4 “unable to validate, please make sure you are connect to the xbox live and have the war games pass downloaded”
Go to your Xbox 360’s storage menu and find your Halo 4 content. Does anything in this list have an exclamation point next to it? If so, that content is corrupt and needs to be redownloaded.
If not, then delete all map packs and the War Games Map Pass from your storage. Redownload the Map Pass from your Download History and then redownload the maps from the in-game marketplace.
You can also try clearing your Xbox 360’s system cache, but I’ve never heard of that fixing these types of issues.

All of this. I brought this up in the support forums a while back. I uninstalled all content (including MM disc), cleared cache (because why not), and then reinstalled EVERYTHING. Though it happens randomly and rarely now, I am still affected by this. Talking to support, we also accepted the possibility that my HDD might be going bad because the game also had problems loading my profile, and sometimes will not auto-login to XBL when the console is turned on.
Have you noticed any other issues with this game or others? (failure to load content, not being able to log in consistently, unable to read gamer profile, etc.) The problem could go deeper than just your H4 DLC data.

I can’t find it in my download history.
EDIT: AHA i think i found it, the “infinity actual kit” I forgot to redownload this!
problem solved, thanks everyone.
