Myself and all of the people that I have talked to absolutely hate smart scope. Why can’t we have an option for the classic scope. There is no reason for this new scope to even exist rather than appealing to COD kids, and we know what happens when you try to appeal to others outside your own fanbase… The population drops 80% in the first 3 months of the game’s release. Just give us options and stop forcing this COD stuff down our throats.
Agreed. It’d take all of 5 seconds to add a menu option to remove the ADS animation.
So you want an unfair advantage over people who prefer smart scope? Good luck with that, get over it.
So almost 6.5 million people are going to stop playing Halo 5 just for a simple aesthetical change? Gr8 b8 m8 grab ur doritoes

You missed the part where SS is a purely aesthetic option and doesn’t affect gameplay.

Halo 4’s peak population was at the 400k mark, I’m not sure where you got your 6 million from. Though if 343 persist with the mistakes they made in Halo 4, yes, the population will collapse, and gimmicky additions like SS will be the reason why.

Smart scope gives you the advantage lol, if Lex Luthor were here he would be yelling at you
It’s in the Abilities category, so does that mean it can be toggled off? Curious to see how that affects the controls/gameplay.

Exactly: peak. That is, the highest amount of players playing the game simultaneously. That is not the same as the amount of players who played the game at all at launch. Neither are any of the other peak population numbers. The peak numbers dropping to 20,000 within a year does not mean only 20,000 people were interested in Halo 4 after that period. It only means that was the highest amount of players recorded playing simultaneously.
I’m not saying Halo 4 was any less of a failure than it was, but the majority of people somehow manage to misinterpret the meaning of peak population. It really shouldn’t be so complicated to understand.
