So last night I’m playing some games with a few friends as usual, and we end up coming across a group of Tiedtheleader.com clan members, and then I notice something a bit fishy. Not only was a lowly Captain Grade 1 wearing the Haunted Helmet, a Eclipse and Mythic were as well, I ask them how they got it before Inheritor and they all just start laughing. So my question is am I behind on the times, is the Haunted Helmet now available for even Captain Grade 1’s with 20% armory completion? I am a Nova and have 100% armory completion, and yet the Haunted Helmet hasnt shown its creepy face in my armory so I think I’m right in assuming WTF?
Bungie had the ability to give any armour part to a person at any rank if they wanted too, it is likely those guys had done something special to get it.
It was a bit similar to Recon in Halo 3.

Im not buying that, I seriously doubt a 1 year Captain Grade 1 or a Eclipse and Mythic that have barely played Matchmaking have recieved any special hand outs from Bungie. If that was so they simply could have said it instead of being trolls and laughing about how pathetic I was for not having it yet just because I asked the question of how they had gotten it before Inheritor. Considering there website advocates use of available mods, cheats, for Reach, COD, Battlefield, and has the motto if its out there or in the game then its fair game to use it, I’m sorry if I dont take your word for it. These arent the first people I’ve come across using armor that is impossible to have before the issued rank, but after seeing a Captain wearing something alot of us play the game to work on unlocking I’m a bit concerned.
I’ve also looked up your supposed theory, Bungie did not hand out the Haunted Helmet to anyone. They only handed out the Blue flame, and 2 exclusive nameplates during their reign over Reach. So sorry bud, your quite wrong this time around, as this was a big discussion over on bnet.
The Eclipse was TTL L askan I believe?
I found this old topic on Bungie.net concerned about the same player, read here
Looking at the linked game a Mythic member on the forum posted, TTL L askan was playing with a Bungie employee, which leaded me to believe they were either related to a Bungie employee, a Bungie employee themselves or a friend/family of a Bungie employee.
It might also interest you to know TTL L askan has the 343 Industries avatar on this website, signifying they work for 343 Industries.
The most plausible theory for that player is that they are friends/family of a Bungie employee and were given 100% armoury completion before 343i took over.
The next person you player you mention is Halcylon, the Mythic.
If you head over to their profile page on Bungie.net (here, you will see they have a special title saying “Pop 'Til You Drop” and their most recent B.net forum post here, you will see they have Golden Text, meaning they work for Bungie.
Now onto TTL Stuicide, the Captain (just a Captain, not G1 according to the Game History).
I did a quick google of “TTL Stuicide Haunted Helmet” and one of the results was a link to the Bungie Blog found here.
The final question says the following:
> Thank you to XerxDeej, Stuicide, Waynoka, and the rest of the TTL crew.
XerxDeej is the former name of the new Community Manager at Bungie, DeeJ.
It is safe to assume that this person was also a friend of a Bungie employee and got the Haunted helmet given to them that way like earlier.
Bungie never handed out Blue Flames or their nameplate to any body until they began doing it on the Bungie App & on their site until July 7th.
All of your concerns should be dropped, they haven’t done anything illegal or wrong to get the Haunted Helmet.
lol don’t know about anyone else but I’d probably report them on impulse so be kind of hard to know there legit or not within games.
343i don’t usually play online as far as I’m aware unless they make community playdates.

Your defense of Deej is also invalid, he supports cheating and mods for all well known shooters.
>
I support cheating and modding of well known shooters too, doesn’t mean they don’t have contact with a Bungie employee, if it really kills you to know, go PM DeeJ on Bungie.net and see if they know the person or how they got it, I am sure he will be glad to tell you, but there are no shenanigans going on here, they got the Haunted Helmet legitimate.

He’s not a modder, get over it. Moa has already proved this with more than enough evidence. If you don’t like it, do your own research.

That guy has Haunted before Inheritor, you’re clearly annoyed because of that. Grow up.
>
I think he was more annoyed that the entire team were using skulls.
I’m sure I have seen a lot of these days, kind of been odd to see a full team of them. Personally I just click file complaint/avoid and leave it since can never trust people online.
>
L Just for clarification purposes Little Moa, you support modding and cheating in legitimate locations like LAN parties and the like, right? Nothing naughty in MM where it gives an unfair advantage to one person/team while the other side doesn’t know it?

A LOT.

I’m completely against modding on Xbox LIVE or online services like you say yes, if the mods are fun and harmless to people, I’m all for it.
I won’t dive too deep into that discussion, it’s against the rules to discuss it I believe.

After talking to several well known and informed people, I have found out that bungie never ever gave out haunted helmets even to its own members. Strictly for the belief it was unfair for people who didnt work toward the neccessary rank to recieve the armor given, as this would be pretty stupid of them. My issue also is not because of them having haunted helmet, my issue is why should I see 3 people that are several levels lower than me and my friends wearing armor we work toward daily without any true reason or way of achieving it any faster than we have. This goes for all those in the community who have ever worked on getting a level up for certain items during the course of Reach’s life or Halo 3.
I asked last night how they recieved the helmet, they laughed and told me I was pathetic for not having it already. That tells me that it wasnt obtained legally, and that they are trolls, and yes I reported them so your rear kissing is irrelevant. And as for the I support cheating statement by you Moa, I am very dissapointed as I am with anyone who would ever support cheating in any matter or form. Deej supports online cheating, and modifications and it should be told, you are the one who brought in their names as I left them out completely for their own sake. Neither of these people even have affiliation with Bungie, and Im afraid Bungie does not hand over things to people who support Mods regardless so your little research does nothing, also I see many people who use the 343i tag who do not work for the company as well.
If your going to set there and waste your time bringing up some garbage supporting cheaters, modders, and bashing those who do not and do not believe its fair to see people abuse the system and better yet wear around gear most of the community strives to acquire as Reach isnt always the greatest experience, then I’m sorry but that says all I ever need to know about you. 343 does not support people cheating in any form or fashion, and they would never let anyone who hadnt earned it wear around such a prized possession because they know how the community would view it, this goes for bungie as well. Bungie refused to even give a terminally ill child the Haunted Helmet because everyone was capable of getting it if they simply played enough, they instead gave him the Blue Flame Armor Effect as at the time it wasnt available to the whole community. So really your telling me a group of trolls recieves special hand outs for doing nothing for Bungie, 343, or the community besides ruin it even worse than it already has been?
I will be more than happy to post a full video of the game if you wish to know why I bring this up in more detail, as I think seeing 5 people walking around with glowing shields the whole game plus 3 wearing Haunted Helmets more than expresses why this topic was made. No one should be given special hand outs, and I’m glad to let the community known some evidently have been or are simply cheating trolls that have barely any experience playing Reach yet wear the most recognized, unique, piece of armor the game offers. So little moa I’m glad to see you support people such as this, and I’m happy you have nothing against cheating I’m sure others are happy to know as well now. And I’ve done my own research, and we all come to the agreement that no one should be given special hand outs as it makes the gaming experience even more broken. If you want to tell me to grow up Teh Spearhead then I will take it as you are the same and believe in cheating as the thing to do, I am a veteran player who has defended the community, developers many times over throughout the years so I sir believe it is you who need to grow up.

I thanked you for the amount of work you put in. You definitely deserve your rank and any perks you get from it. If I see Moas in the next trilogy, I will be reminded of you lol.
> Neither of these people even have affiliation with Bungie
Considering that they are all employees, I’d say that’s a pretty strong affiliation.
Bungie absolutely had the ability to give haunted to any one they deemed fit. They gave it to a kid was battling cancer. There was much discussion on Bnet over this.
