haters of 343i. Who do you wish to make Halo?

I never post in these forums, I just enjoy reading everything casually instead. One thing that I always pick up though is I see the odd few threats really slating how Halo is going do the toilet because of 343i. So my question is who do you expect to make to Halo? Firstly NO you can’t say return it to Bungie. So you have three choices, you can either still enjoy the existence of Halo thanks to Microsoft who specifically bought the franchise because Bungie simply didn’t want to make the games any longer so 343 was set up in order to continue its existence and enjoy it. Second option being you have some wonderful idea for who should continue to make these games? At least with 343i they have some members of the original creators mixed in with people who used to shadow Bungie when they worked together such as the MP maps.

Final and WORST option is we just end the saga now.

Don’t tell me you would happy if the saga ended now because you wouldn’t. You would then slate MS saying “you abandoned your loyal fans.” Lets face it.

Like I said I never post on these forums, I’m a lurker.I will admit now since the franchise left Bungie my own views of the games changed and I moved over to Call of Duty. BUT thanks to 343i I still get to enjoy its existence and I still know I get to continue Master Chiefs story.

It should have ended after 3. It would be such a shambles to end it now, but its sad to see it slowly become something so lacklustre and mediocre.

I don’t really know who I’d choose, so I guess I would just have to go with end it. Or maybe give it to the fans to make something really awesome? :open_mouth:

This is why I hate this community. We’re never happy, never positive and never give 343 a break. Look at everything they’ve given back. Equal starts, weapons on map, no perks, map control, etc, etc, and we just find something else to -Yoink- about. It’s sad.

“Give it to fans” not sure if serious loll. I’m happy with with halo 5 tbh a lot of things bugged me about 4 but I enjoyed it and I hated REACH so I blamed it for halo 4 lol.

To me bungies halo ended after 3. So I do not blindly wish for halo to return to those days. Halo 5 is different from my beloved halo 3 but it still feels like halo to me. I’m going to have to do a lot of adjusting but I’m excited to mastering new game mechanics. And the way 343 does story and campaign I love. Let the reclaimer saga continue

I use to feel the same. Now I find it hard to give them the benefit of the doubt after MCC, which is still very much unplayable for me. The final kick in the teeth is when they announced pre-orders for H5 before MCC has even been brought back to a satisfactory state for everyone.

Now I feel like I am seeing the real 343. I see past their marketing and grooming tactics. I see past the sympathy and pity for them being a new company with a lot to learn: “Don’t worry guys, they are trying their best! Give them the benefit of the doubt!”. I just see them as any other company with piss poor business etiquette, driven by profit and bending over to their bosses, churning out average products for a quick buck. Thus, I will treat them accordingly as a customer.

343 can’t give themselves a break. What have they given back? Am I missing something?

It’s not our job to throw our money at them and say, “Oh, don’t worry slugger. You’ll get them next time!”

Halo 4 bombed, MCC is broken, and now the beta is empty because the population died. A 3 week beta of a Halo game is already dead? WOW, can that even happen? Yes, because the casuals this game is made for have already gone back to the games they came from. They are doing this to themselves.

I dunno, Valve maybe? They’d have the potential to take Halo in an interesting direction.

I was joking  But sometimes fans can pull together and make some cool things, like the new Time Splitters Rewind.

Halo is in good hands. 343 wrote an incredible story for halo 4, I actually wish 343 could of done the campaign for the original games instead of bungie. Halo 5 multiplayer is great fun also. equal starts is want i wanted to see, as well as the removal of kill streaks, and their gone, so i am happy with the future of halo.

If there was one company I’d want to make a Halo game more than the team that was specifically created to make Halo games, it’s Valve.

Why? Because they understand how to make a game with longevity and interact with the community in a substantial way. Plus being a PC release would allow for more frequent updates and while there would undoubtably be more bugs, there’d also be more fixes to those bugs. Plus valve doesn’t feel the need to shoehorn out a new sequel every year. Heck people are still waiting for Half life 3, and it took Counter Strike Source 8 years to get a successor.

That said, as far as console developers go the game couldn’t be in safer hands. I mean really, would we want it under Ubisoft, Activision, or EA?

I might not agree with 343i’s direction but I’m not going to say for a minute that they’re a bad company.

As a consumer, you should never accept less than what you want out of a manufacturer. At the end of the day, it is the manufacturer’s job to please a customer not the other way around. If they don’t please the customer, community feedback helps the process. Through their critiques, they can design a product that better represents their customer’s interests. There is nothing wrong with questioning the services or goods you are paying for.

That was well worded and I hope people read this. This concept is much easier to process once you start spending your own money, instead of your parents’.

343 can make the campaign sure cuz IMO i don’t play the game time after time for the campaign. and how do you know bungie didn’t wanna make anymore? maybe they didn’t like how microsoft presented their circumstance. i hear that a lot about MS lately similar to Gow and GowJ

Now, let’s say 343 is a single person. This person is at the peak human physical condition. This person is faster than a leaopard, can lift a truck, can take bullets like nothing, jump over buses, and sprint for hours and hours straight. This person is amazing, but the problem is, is that they don’t suffer from mental retardation, they are simply uneducated. And this uneducated person can be taught how to put their talents to amazing usage, it is simply that they currently don’t know how to yet.

people who actually give two craps about HALO and HALO FANS, and are interested in developing a HALO game, and NOT converting said game into a copy of every other modern shooter.

Valve.

Not sure if serious…

I think epic games could make a good halo

I can completely agree with that statement. The problem is the customer’s lack of self control to give insightful feedback. You know what happened with the death threats that followed with the issues from tmcc. Now how are people gonna think of us when they look at our current community? Behavior like that is unacceptable within any circumstances and I feel saddened to see how it is honestly worse than the stereotypical cod community. If people are gonna try to help the companies to create products they desire, it needs to be within a very mature tone and not like something coming from a toddler, which can be something hard to grasp for some people. Sure 343 has definitely displeased us which is possibly microsoft’s fault, but it doesn’t give us an excuse to to bust 343’s yoink to give us what we want, as if they’re our developers. There has to be some sort of civil discussions, or we’ll never get anywhere, and it’ll mostly be our faults.

Yeah, shotguns!

Epic Games wouldn’t be the best candidate developer.
