This not a hate post tbh but every since I came to waypoint a few months back I only heard people bashing Halo 5 left & Right without even playing the beta or any form of one yet just blindly hate it for no good reason but thankfully my expectations won’t be let down.

Not all negativity has been for no reason, I think that’s stretching it
You want bashing? Ok.
Halo 5 needs BR starts in all ranked playlists except for Breakout. The AR is both useless and has no place in the ranked playlists as a spawn weapon. It exists purely to force you to press Y before picking up another gun. SWAT with pistol starts is moronic and needs to go back to BR/pistol in all gametypes across the board. I’d really like to see BRs with the DMR scope like the warzone variant as map pickups as well but no idea if this is possible. The sniper still takes up too much of the screen in 1st person and I don’t like the scoped view much but that’s personal preference.
Aside from the things 343 is deliberately doing wrong and need to change, H5 is a great game as far as I can tell. Overall it’s good, but don’t pretend for a second there aren’t problems. My main problem is 343 trying to force pistol starts down my throat.
There is just a number of people very passionate about the game. And prior let downs and shortfalls have left them understandably wounded and frustrated. 343i has a lot to live up to and deliver. Heck, even Bungie was struggling to meet the ever growing expectations. Much of the hate was just an expression of those feelings.
I am looking forward to the campaign, however the Arena and Warzone gameplay I have seen thus far have me pretty hyped and relieved!
