—>| If your on the forums as much as I am, you would notice how people have been posting nothing but negative things & complaints. So I figured I would I would try and bring a bit of optimism to the boards & post some of things 343 Industries have done right.
So my discussion question(s) for those who are posting is;
What has 343 Industries done right?
What would you do differently if you were in 343i management position?
The soundtrack was good but not how it was in-game. It was too quiet and didn’t switch on when you wanted it the most. 117 would have been epic if it was playing during the mission with the tank -instead I got silence. I would sort this problem out.
So basically: Good soundtrack but poorly delivered.
People are completely in the right to post complaints and negative feedback, though in a reasonable manner. The games custom content is smaller than past games and overly restrictive and the story was mediocre with schizophrenic pacing.
If I was at 343i, I would’ve expanded the custom content and allowed gamers to do basic things like dropping the flag in CTF, include classic gametypes like Assault, allow the ability to toggle off sprint, etc. On the story end, well, that is a big list in and of itself.
@DecepticonCobra - Agreed, community communication is key for halo to evolve and improve.
The audio in this game is just superb, i also think the campaign recaptured the magic of CE with this crazy new promethean world to discover - the bit when you first see the huge floating pillars was both scored perfectly and looked incredible.
The only gripe I’ve had so far is the lack of features on waypoint, file browser, screenshots, rendered films etc…

Good OST? Do people really prefer this over the original halo music. Arrival is the only good tune
The thing is, complaining seems to be the only thing we can do. If 343 had some sort of community interaction, it would potentially alleviate some of complaints. I don’t see how hard it would be for them to do something like a sticky with how they currently see things, some of the things they want to tweak, things they want to add and some of their ideas for fixing some of the problems in the game. If they done that, it would level out the complaints as fans of the game and people who see the potential this game truly has, something positive to post about.
