So today it was my first game today in Warzone Assault and I did awful and this dude just kept called me by my gamertag and said "dude you suck at Halo and asked if I enjoyed getting my but kicked. So I said “cool story bro” and the dude wouldn’t shut up and said I should get off the game right now cause I suck so bad so I reported and blocked him but before I blocked him he sent me messages about how bad I sucked. We won the match btw this was a freaking teammate.
Responding is how the trolls keep getting fed. Simply mute the player and move on, there’s no reason to fuel the fire, really.
Yeah I miss the ‘mute all’ option honestly.
This makes me miss Halo 3…
Some people take competitive banter too seriously
Its fun to talk down to the other team
But its not fun if they dont do it back Halo 3 was great for this and led to a lot of fun sessions due to party up feature

There is an option to mute the entire team, using the X button I believe. The A button mutes individual players, but X will silence them all.

It’s bloody broken though.
Just today I had to listen to some kid on WZ Assault singing and screaming like a 12 year old, and “coordinating” us to “destroyyyy iiiiiiit” (the core… who would’ve guessed we were supposed to do that >.>). Non-stop, couldn’t mute anything and I hate turning the TV’s volume to 0 in Halo.

A good way to bypass the mute all glitch is to be on party chat, you can be solo in your own party.
Don’t play online if you are not prepared to hear insults.

Dude people can have some descency and self control I’m prepared to hear insults but not to get harrased like this guy was doing. Don’t always just chalk it up to hey its the internet.

That’s exactly what I started doing when I noticed there was no ‘mute all’. I’m literally always in a party whether I’m playing with friends or not.

If you don’t want to hear someone just mute or block em. He should have muted him very early on. A competative game base will have toxic game chat. Also if you want censored chat go play wii U. I like my Wild West chat to stay Wild West anything goes
You can see who is talking, just mute that person. I don’t seem to get much of that trash talk but I get a lot of music. I always mute it. I enjoy listening to people trash talk each other. It’s funny, and when it stops being funny I just mute them.

It still happens to me sometimes. I had a beat-box session going on with the last Warzone group I played.
I think it has something more to do with the community than anything.

If you get trolled you have to troll back. When people troll me I like to just be like what? And who? Then a lot of the time they say -Yoink- and I’ll be like Giant Tigers Flying Overhead?
