If you’re at D&B and see this game you’ll play it. I know I would. Even tho I would rather see a new spin off on Xbox this is better than nothing.

I don’t go to Dave and Busters at all this should have been a console exclusive.

Why though? Just because you have no personal interest in it doesn’t mean other do. Let people enjoy this

While I do agree with them wanting to make a arcade experience, why not also port it to the Xbox one? It would work, and many people would enjoy it, myself included. It would also make a lot of money.(If that matters here.)
Because it’s an experience that was designed for arcades and not Xbox. It doesn’t need to be on both

they might port it over later after working out bugs, translating code, and adding stuff to waypoint to track it. since it is an arcade cabinet it probably lacks saving so putting that in, adding in cross console multiplayer, etc etc. but they also might not, its their decision, i havent gotten to play spartan assault and spartan strike, who knows, they might release the 3 as a bundle for xbox

It doesn’t need to be, i’m just saying that the concept was great, but the delivery may not be what the majority asked for. Porting it could be very fun for many. You could make bonuses for playing the arcade version that transfer to the Xbox. Just an idea.
P.S. Cross-Play could be very interesting as well

I actually have to disagree with you on this. There will be a lot of people not experiencing this due too the fact it’s arcade only.
There are two arcades in town (three if you count the tiny one in the theater) and I doubt any of them are going to get Fireteam Raven. (o_O )
My best chance is if 343i decides to release a version of it on Xbox. Either way though, for those who get a chance to play, this looks like a lot of fun.
I’m really not getting the complaints about this not being on Xbox. Diversifying the media that Halo is available on is a great move for both the fans and the business. I love the variety we have in Halo in 2018.
That being said, what makes you think that getting this game, which has been designed from the ground up for an arcade machine, can simply be “ported” over? This is likely much less appealing than you’re imagining it to be. These platforms very different.
Y’all need to turn the pessimism down a notch and enjoy things!
EDIT: looks like Waypoint just threw up on me. Would one of the mods mind removing this duplicate?

I want to play this, but the closest Dave & Busters is three hours away!

LOL, just found out that a new Halo has been released

How can we enjoy them if we can’t play them? Also, what variety do we have in 2018?

That’s what I’m saying it’s a good looking game but I really don’t understand their logic putting it on arcade only. This looks like one of the best halo games I have seen in a while.

I’m not going to claim that the game has high availability for everyone. But neither does the HoloLens experience. I think it’s okay for some experiences to be “treats” that you only get sometimes. As long as the core experience (the main games) are still around, which they are. That being said, arcades are everywhere. The Dave & Buster’s exclusivity is only for a limited time. Just about every urban city has one or more huge arcades, and I’m sure many of them will want to get their hands on this machine. Even people living in rural areas are going to visit a decently sized city from time to time, right? We’re so used to having everything instantly these days, but is there no place left for the excitement of driving to the arcade just to get a chance to play that special game?
As for the variety, because of MCC and back compat stuff, it’s cumulative. So between all the different Halo media we have (all the FPS and RTS games across Xbox and PC, the mod community on PC, the HoloLens experience, Spartan Assault/Strike, the two mini series, Legends, all the fantastic books, eSports, and I’m sure there are some I’m missing), I think the variety of viable, quality Halo content that we have at our fingertips is better than ever.
I’m just gonna buy one of the Raven arcade machines to put in front of my toilet. That’s where I’d likely end up after visiting a Dave & Buster’s anyway. Might as well cut out the middle man. Problem solved.
Plus, didn’t any of you whippersnappers go to the arcade back in the day? That’s where we played Asteroids & Vanguard.

Probably the hundreds of arcade games, including exactly this kind of game, that have been successfully ported to consoles for decades.

Yeah but its about the experience, not the game content. For instance, the trailer for fire team raven enforces that theme when they show the inside of the cabinet and the guns. Plus, i have some of those ported acrade games, and with out the cabinet and atmosphere you get form the arcade, the port feel empty and a bit lack luster. Saying you want a port of it, is like asking for a broadway play on dvd, instead of buying tickets and seeing it in person.

I disagree. I’ve played plenty of arcade rail shooters on console and I much prefer playing them in the comfort of my own home than going to some noisey, crowded place to try and get a chance to sink coins.
