I’ve been having back problems my whole life and hell until recently i was on my way to being a hunchback!Even though i stood tall with my shoulders back (as if i was doing a heroic pose lol) my condition got worse my spine continued to curve. My roomate then pointed out my awkward hunches while at my computer and leaning over my desk to get a good view of my tv while on my bed.I’ve since then bought a reclinable chair for my pc area and have put pillows against the backboard of my bed to rectfie it but i don’t know if it will work do you have opinions on my soultion? And have you ever had back problems to due to extensive gaming?
I personaly havent experienced any problems but my friend once got a hemorrhoid from sitting on a hard chair for too long while playing halo.
I haven’t experienced any back problems, but sometimes I do get a stiff neck after long gaming sessions. Usually goes away after some stretching though.
I try to take a 5-10 minute break for every hour that I play. Either sit out one game, get up and go to the bathroom, grab something to eat or drink, etc. Just move the body around so it doesn’t get stiff.
The gaming itself isn’t the problem: it’s the way you’re sitting when you’re gaming for extended periods of time.
General advice applies:
Sit in a relaxed pose
Take regular breaks (both for your eyes, your hands, and the rest of your body)
Switch up your activities, don’t do the same thing for too long
Take regular exercise
Eat well.
If you really think you’re becoming a hunchback, talk to a damn doctor and don’t try and get medical advice from a gaming forum.
Really I think it would depend on your condition, you may have to ask your doctor, tell him you do things that require you to sit still for a while and see if he can figure out something you could use to play games without further aggravating your condition.
