Why did master chiefs armor change but mark 6 in multiplayer didnt.
too much work for such a fancy design armor in multiplayer.

because master chief isnt in mark 6 any more

they state that in the first mission
because Cortana rewrote his hardwire while he was at, so his armor is a modified Mark VI, whereas multiplayer the Spartan IVs didn’t get a re-build Mark VI, they got default.

it didn’t. Everyone in this thread has already said that Cortana tampered with it, making it change. She didn’t go and tamper with every single set of Mark VI, therefor Chief got the special edition, and everyone else kept the original.

i understand that she tampered with it. but i dont get is how. how can an A.I change armor while the person is in cryo sleep. there are no machinery or anything in the pods that could help her.

Cortana rewrote FIRMWARE. She’s an AI, she can’t change his actual armor…
This confirms UNSC possess Nanotechnology and had it around the time the Chief’s armor was made.
