Has this been confirmed by 343 or no?

I apologize for my lack of knowledge on the mechanics in the game, but why is it that in Halo 3 it seemed harder to aim (example: the sniper) than in Halo: Reach? Is that the magnetism or hitbox? Has 343 confirmed what it would be like in Halo 4. I’d like it to be more difficult than it already is.

Also, in the Game informer magazine because they lacked to detail any sign of a 1-50 ranking system and discussed the Spartan Point do you think this means there won’t be one at all?

Cheers!

It’s because Halo Reach uses hitscan, and Halo 3 does not. In Halo 3, the bullets travel in real time, meaning you have to lead a moving target to hit it. Hitscan means the bullet hits immediately after you pull the trigger

Halo 3, and it’s been confirmed that Halo 4 as well, does not use hitscan, while Halo: Reach uses bullet magnetism; hence why it feels “easier” to kill and get killed in Reach.

As for a 1-50 rank, nothing’s been confirmed, but it’s been heavily alluded to and demanded by players. I’ll be surprised and horribly disappointed if they don’t implement this in Halo 4’s matchmatching.

As for “Spartan Points”, we know virtually nothing, and nothing’s been confirmed. I garner we’ll know more after the GI article is released and the new Sparkcast is out, explaining everything in detail.

i read somewhere the BR does have it…

I am fairly certain the Halo 4 BR will be hitscan a la Halo 2 and Reach.

This is false H4 does use hitscan.

Yes, it does.
