Has There ever been a demand for warthogs?

Im asking, because if anything, the community has a demand for a social playlist, such as slayer, which was removed in a week.

Also, its a common complaint to unlock warthogs through our req packs. The needler warthog is a unique, cool addition, sure. But, was there ever a demand for a neon - colored warthog slightly faster than others? You can already move around the maps quite quickly with a regular warthog.

Usually, if customers have a demand in something, the developers use their time and resources to deliver that something. I dont recall a demand for more warthogs, or a complaint that the variety of warhogs is scarce, not to mention a complaint warthogs are too slow.

The addition of the warthogs isnt enough to compensate for the demands the community would like, for example, more customization options for your spartan, and a social playlist. Is there amy reasoning for 343 to spend their time on something the -Yoink!- didnt generally ask for?

I think that everything that 343 has added in every update was planned a long time ago, that they intended to give us these things regardless of the circumstances.

Rule of thumb. Expect nothing, and you will never be disappointed.

There is flaw in your thought pattern. Sometimes people don’t know what they want. Do you think there was a massive outcry for grifball when it was first introduced back in halo 3? People didn’t know they wanted it. I’m not claiming this applies to the rally hog, but you can’t ‘just give people what they want’ and expect them to be happy.

They have to fill out the last updates with something easy. That’s all I can think of. I’m wondering if colorful mongoose’s are gonna be in the next one.

Lol, no demand for Warthogs… only in 343’s made-up statistics and market research/“studies!”

I mean, who even asked (or thought to ask) for a Needler Warthog? Hahaha…

I don’t know about you guys, but I’ve been wanting a Warthog that looks like my -Yoink!- tiger lingerie…

It makes me wonder who they have paying attention to and recording community feedback/requests, and why that person still has their job.

They should ideally be planning things that the players would actually want, no? Even ignoring the Falcon demand I’m sure they could’ve done something more appealing to the playerbase than lime race hogs.

That was the past. People now know a few things they want, and a few things they wanted that we have now.

For example : we didnt have detailed post - game carnage report, and we disliked the color options for our spartan and emblem. They gave it to us, and expected to make us happy, because its what we wanted for sure, and we’re happy with it.

Your logic implies on a demand for something that was never known until it was released to the public. Of course, back when halo 3 was out, there wasnt a demand for a gametype that was unheard of until Bungie released it through an update. There seems to be a flaw in your pattern.

A actual Social playlist is a known thing in previous halo games, that isnt present in Halo 5. People want it to be in halo 5, so they can, for example, play slayer for fun, and not with and against competitive players. Thats a demand on something that is real, not like griftball when no one knew what it was in your example for halo 3.

And sure theirs a few social gametypes, such as btb, but putting social gametypes In a competitive playlist means there will often be sweaty players no matter the playlist, except maybe griftball. Thats a main reason why this game, by casuals, is viewed as too competitive.
If im wrong, you’d be implying players who want to have fun only and not take it seriously, which is a alot of us, would be displeased to have a social option outside of warzone. Not everybody likes warzone or its req system. For example.

they need consistent playlist like a team snipers playlist that stays and doesnt get removed or a doubles playlist that doesnt get removed like srsly 343 thats what ppl want

This made me laugh…I remember in my woodworks class in high school I did a bunch of really small projects to boost my overall grade…for example I routed a chevy logo in a piece of wood painted it routed the edges then plained the top and stained it…boom. took 2 days but the teacher had to mark it which bumped my grade…they are just giving free content which looks good, regardless of what it is…and it makes people go hey… WOW 2 updates in one month

Was there also a demand to remove team snipers, or slayer? Its like giving someone a cookie, then taking it away from them before they can finish it.

You tend to stretch things too far. I didn’t claim people didn’t know what they wanted some of the time, only not all of the time. If they managed to create a great new gametype, then the people would want it, even though they hadn’t wanted it before.

I mean, I’d love to have a Splinter 'Hog variant, but that’s just me.

I don’t know if people have demanded for more 'Hogs in the past, but there have certainly been demands for the 'Hogs to be buffed. I know that much for sure.

There is a reason 343 does that, they give the wolf a taste, and leave it hungry for more. This way, they can boost up demand for the playlists.

Yeah there actually has been. A massive demand for hogs which don’t have INSANE bullet magnetism on the gunners heads, that don’t flip and roll like they weigh 5kg.
Rocket hogs which actually work (praying the vespin is good) Basically just a warthog which is useful. (no hate on gauss, those things bop).

This counterracts itself when people leave because of the lack of general playlist they used to always play.

No but I would this Foreigner Rocket hog

Only hog ive ever seen even slightly requested in Halo 5 would be a 4-person troop hog.
