I loved using the Sticky Detonator in Halo 4, even if it was a bit too effective. I would like to see it back in Halo 5, but toned down a bit.
Oh yeah, I was wondering about that thing during the Warzone gameplay. My guess is that it was scraped due to it’s (un)popularity.

UNSC High Command decided that such a weapon is now classified as a WMD. Its use is only authorized for certain ONI Section 3 Operatives.
Hey, sorry to hijack your post but is the Railgun coming back?

In other words - Yes, it appears 343 decided not to include the H4 Sticky Detonator in Halo 5.

I’ve searched many places searching for what you said, but I can’t find anywhere saying that only Section-3 Operatives use the Sticky Detonator now. Could you please provide a link?

Anyway, I’m gonna miss the sticky detonator. I always gained massive pleasure from hitting people with it and choosing when to detonate. >:)
Loved how easy it was to set up ambushes with it and it’s motion tracker
You don’t understand, the grenade launcher must always change every Halo game. It’s tradition.

Confirm… er, I mean CLASSIFIED

I hope so I always thought it was brilliant. Sticking a mongoose and blowing it up never stopped being fun.
I loved the sticky detonator because it was a lot of fun to remote detonate. I also liked sticking it on team mates and having them run into a group of enemies. BOOM!
I had a lot of fun mastering the Sticky Detonator.
It better return. Aside from the railgun the can opener was my favorite of the new weapons from Halo 4.
I loved it in games with vehicles, but never got the knack of killing infantry with it.
The sticky detonator was easily the best creation in Halo 4 that 343 invented. It was far better (both more useful and more fun to use) than any of the new promethean weapons.
It was too easy to use. Id much rather see Reach’s grenade launcher come back.

God I am sorry. I literally pulled that post from my behind. I didn’t think anyone would take is seriously. I posted only in jest.

Now that thing took skill to use.
Although I think we may have seen it’s successor in the form of the Hydra launcher.
The sticky detonator was awesome and I didn’t think it was that easy to use especially on other infantry, the timing was major for actually sticking it to them, I loved the options you had with how to use it. Could the hydra launcher be what comes as a next step up?
