I’m not sure where I saw this but wasn’t the watchdog coating supposed to be updated when season 2 launched? Correct me if I’m mistaken.

Far as I’m aware no and all I’ve heard is a vague they’ll fix it at some point.
I’m actually hyped to how it will look like. Even season 2 has new coatings with that “shine.” Doesn’t seem like something hard to do
I’d be happy enough if they actually do it. Have too many complaints with Infinite and well getting to 152 was exhausting.

Umm believe it was mentioned in one of their recent blogs. Probably in April 2022 blog but can’t remember which one.
They did, in the sseaon 1 outcomes post, well be getting the watchdog update as well as the red shift update in a later update.
I thought I read somewhere that it was later in S2, but I can’t find that one.

Yeah, it was stated theyd “make things right”, sometime during season 2
But since its not a “priority”, may take till the end of the 6 month season, which is unacceptable.

Honestly the watchdog coating looks like other coatings. And worse. I wish they’d give us 152s something meaningful that stands out. May just be me being upset about it but I almost want something more or different, only because we were promised it and Because we are waiting, not to mention again there’s other coatings that look similar. I want to be known when I’m in a lobby that I achieved 152 and I’m a die hard Halo player. Make it stand out 343 please.

I think the coating would look badass if it were chrome with the same red accents. I’d never complain again honestly.

Anything other than how it looks now. I seriously don’t know how the one that was shown in the beginning got confused with this one.

This was said in their Season 1 Outcomes Report:
Feedback: Watchdog and Red Shift armor coatings do not look like what was shown in 2020. Additionally, new weapon coatings look similar to Watchdog weapon coatings.
Last, but certainly not least, we’ve seen the requests to have the Watchdog and Red Shift armor coatings more closely reflect the initial renders we released in 2020. We want to make this right in a future update.
So no definitive date, but according to this they’ll make Watchdog look like the original render which would be awesome.

Red Shift definitely turned out different than initially advertised, but I have not met a single person who complained about that. I own it but do not personally use it. I know a few people who “main” it on their Mk VII and will be disappointed if it changes. Hopefully, they can keep the old coating and acquire the updated version.
they can’t even fix desync they’s probably won’t fix watchdog
