Has Pegasus been removed?

How do you get locked down on pegasus? There are 3 main firefight areas and at least 2 exits at all times. Have you guys stopped to think that perhaps the other team is just better? lets grow up and stop blaming the map. Ive been playing MP games since Battlefield 2 on the PC, i play about everything and i never blamed a map for my loss. I would be ashamed to do so.

> When both teams spawn in pegasus they both will try to go for the rocket, grenades or gunfire, it doesnt matter, its epic. Thats what makes a match fun, firefights. Thats Halo.

No, I’m not saying that at all. I’m just informing you, when you get into the higher ranks, this is what you will encounter. What you are describing in your second paragraph does not happen in higher ranks. Red team nades both Hallways entering rockets and since they have higher ground, they would win that fight majority of the time. Usually blue team doesn’t even try and go for Rockets, becasue they know they are giving red team a free kill or two. The strat for blue team is to push snipe/mid to get PP and try and pick off as many as possible in the beginning with OS. To me what makes a match fun is even starts with even spawns, to then have even firefights and fight for powerups, for example Truth and Coliseum.

I’m not blaming it for my loss because I have learnt how to do it myself. You have a co-ordinated team and a good sniper it is really easy to lock down the other team at OS so its their only way to make a push out.

Nope, we played it a few times this week on SWAT.

the best chance you have at playing Pagasus is in SWAT. Still don’t know why that’s in rotation. Such a bad map for SWAT

If you are asking this question, then you do not understand this map. Red Base is the control area. If you control this point, you control the map. The other team will spawn at OS and bottom Carbine/Basement. The team will always have position advantage and let the domination begin.

Let me explain this one more time for you. If the teams are equal skill and one team gets Red Spawn and the other team is Blue spawn. Red spawn already has the rockets, at least 3 kills right there and they can easily defend sniper push. Now the game might be 6-1 (Red team leading) and the red team still has map control by not fighting for it, but just by the initial spawn. This has nothing to do with another team being better than the other.

Battlefield has nothing to do with Halo and I really don’t care how long you have been playing games, that is irrelevant. I’ll give you a battlefield example. Lets say on a map, one team spawns with all the vehicles and on top of the mountain, while the other team has one vehicle at the bottom of the mountain. Guess who is going to win the game if both teams are at equal skill? The team who spawned at the top of the mountain with all the vehicles.

That does not correspond to reality. Blue and Red teams have equal chances of getting the rocket, how could they not? the rocket sits perfectly between both. And 3 kills out a rocket?? lool. Let me tell you how real life matches go, one dude barely makes it out alive catching the rocket and he has the chance of firing once before dying. With luck he gets a kill. This is how real matches work, its messy and chaotic. Thats why many players regardless of the rank dont care about power weapons, you risk your life trying to get one and sometimes it doesnt even pay off.

Let me tell you another thing, im not sure if youre new to Halo, but Halo maps have always, always had one power weapon closer to a spawn location. Ghost Town, one of the most beloved Halo 3 maps, You get to spawn right next to the rocket launcher, or right next to the sniper rifle. Lockout, another beloved map, one team spawns close to the sword, another team spawns closer to the sniper. The Shotgun is in the middle. Thats how it has been in most Slayer maps and there was never a problem. The problem is in you, not the maps.

Still here for me

I’ve been playing since 2001, but I’m not sure why that matters. Ghost Town was not a beloved map in Halo 3, hence why it never made it to the competitive scene and no one asks for a remake for that terrible map.If your team is not getting at least 3 kills with Rockets, then that person with Rockets is not doing their job correctly. It actually does matter what rank you are since the better players understand the map more and know the strategies better with better teamwork, hence why they are at a high rank.

This is incorrect. The majority of the maps provide equal chance to getting to a power weapon and a minority have the unbalanced spawns. Yes, Lockout was very unbalanced for initial set up, since Red Team had full control with Sword/Sniper and BR base, but I also disliked that map. It’s still better than 90 percent of the maps in Reach through 5 though.

Enjoy your day.

I played it last night. However, i have been matched on it far less, lately.

I could be wrong but i think it was always in the rotation in the past. Dont see why that would have changed

I played on Pegaus yesterday. It is still there. Also, when are they going to let players play on Orion for slayer

You know, you guys -Yoink- about spawn location as if that determines the outcome of a match, when most of the times i see power weapons just laying there while no one goes after them. Its just whining -Yoink-, im sorry. Halo needs power weapon struggles, and firefights. In Pegasus both sniper and rockets are under line of fire from both teams, and both teams can win it, its perfect.

> It’s obvious that you are not in Diamond/Onyx/Champion ranks. Spawn location determines a lot when it’s equal starts. Red spawn in Pegasus has the position advantage if Blue team tries and rush rockets, easy nade choke-holds. Just like overgrowth, Blue Spawn gets Shotgun cloak, as well as a better defensive stance for Sword. The spawns in these maps favor a certain side, which in turns provides that team with the power weapons without any struggle. No one is whining, it’s a fact that these spawns provide a certain team with an advantage.

I love it when people try and argue against this lollllll. The skill gap in this game is quite amazing… Holla if you ever wanna play, crysis. xi ballz plz ix

Shouldn’t be…

Favorite for SWAT

Hasn’t been removed. I played it a few hours ago.

Does it only show up while playing slayer?

I actually liked Orion a tad better… The spawns were bad but otherwise I enjoyed the gameplay and the (occasional) map control. Pegasus just feels like a misplaced 2v2 map.

There’s no way 8 players are supposed to fit in there.

I haven’t played it in month or so.
