I know it didn’t automatically update, the disc was not in the xbox last night nor have I played all week, saw the update was out popped the game in and nothing, I hard reset the xbox and all my networking equipment as well, still nothing. Anyone else have this problem or success with another method of getting the update?
Exactly the same issue for me. I didn’t get a prompt for the first update either. I can literally sit here comfortably and type this knowing that its not going to put me in a game. Cmon WTF!!! I’ve never had an issue where I can’t play a game because I can’t download the update.
If either of you have instant on enabled on your xbox and automatic downloads set to install, then you will already have the update downloaded and installed. I don’t think the disc needs to be in the drive for this to happen

Yes this is correct, and you DO NOT need to have any disc in for it to update. As long as the settings are on & your Xbox was in standby it would auto download and install any updates for any games installed on your Xbox console.
