Looking forward to what real competitive organizers can do with the game. Is it safe to assume we wont get any actual competitive settings until forge is released?
As far as I am concerned they have not released any official gametypes yet. They most likely won’t until December when the Forge update introduces the game modes being polished up.
It’s safe to assume that those that really do look at balance and viable options within a tournament will wait a few weeks, at least, to collect the data needed to understand the sandbox.
And if you feel the maps only suit the current style of sandbox and you want a modified one, of course you need Forge to create the template to which you wish to paint your battles on.

You’re doing it again. Cut that -Yoink- and stop spreading misinformation.
They have just basic settings up at the moment. The ffa tournament setting for yesterday were nice. No radar with br pistol start and I must say it really stepped the game up a bit! Way more intense and fun.
Is MLG even affiliated with Halo 5? I thought 343 was hosting all the comp stuff on it’s own.

They haven’t officially stated support for h5 yet but they are currently supporting it on gamebattles.
MLG alongside most esports have moved to pc games, Halo and most other console games are too easy with aim assist and bullet magnetism so they can’t really be competitive, halo 2 and 3 having esport comps was just a fluke.

Umm have you not checked out the MLG site recently? They support tons of console games and mutiplatforms. Pgl also supports h5 as well. I have not seem esl or umg support yet. Halo 2 made MLG fyi.

MLG disagrees, hence why CoD is a main stage game for MLG.

Well they support just about every game on GB, I don’t see it becoming a big main stage game for them though.
