Kinda like how ODST included all the Halo 3 DLC, is there a chance that CEA’s multiplayer portion will include the noble and defiant map packs as well.
Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary ships in one disc. In it is the remastered Campaign, and then the Reach Matchmaking. The only difference is that this disc ONLY ships with the 7 new maps - none of the original, none of the map packs.
But seriously, buy the map packs. They are more than worth it, especially Defiant. They were only 10 bucks during the summer, why didn’t you buy them then?

to be honest i’m waiting for at least one of them to go free, like how the first pack did in 3. or until a buy one get one free deal or something. because im not just gonna buy one of the two and i dont know how i feel about spending 20 dollars on 6 multiplayer maps. i’m cheap.
They are not going to become free, you do know this, right? If they do, it will occur a little before the release of Halo 4.

You missed you chance then. A couple weeks ago, they had both of them for 400 MS Points…
Reach’s DLC and Reach’s base maps all suck anyways. You are MUCH better off just playing on the 7 maps that you get in CEA.
The map packs will not become free for several years, if ever. Halo 3’s map packs are still not free.
Anniversary will only come with the 7 remastered multiplayer maps for Halo Reach and the remastered campaign, all on one disc.
The map pack maps are better than launch maps (Reflection and Powerhouse being the only launch maps of true quality). If you don’t buy them because you are cheap, your loss.
I’ve never seen a confirmation that the disc will only have the Anniversary maps, so I don’t know where everybody gets this idea. It seems a little silly that they wouldn’t include the rest for those that have them. At least have the original maps and have the game read the map packs off of your hard drive.

Then you clearly didn’t watch Halofest. The CE disc will only contain the new maps & the campaign
HOWEVER, you can play regular matchmaking from the CE disc by installing Reach on to your harddrive. CE will read the maps from your HDD and that is how you will play them.
