Has Halo CE Aged Well?

Lately there has been discussion about whether Halo CE has aged well or not, so I decided to gather you guys here to answer the big question: has Halo CE aged well? Why or why not?

If we include that anniversary didn’ come out, I believe the game has aged remarkably well, especially since there is still a active community on the Halo Custom Edition after all these years. I would still load up the PC version of the game once a month or so to relive the glorious moments and remembering my first encounter with the flood, not a good day :D.

It aged good, I mean it isn’t that good looking like back then but the gameplay is still great.

It was a great game in its day. Which means that in some sense it must still be a great game. But in light of what has come after? How can anyone play a match of warzone and then look me in the eye and say CE is still a great game?

I think the halo franchise as a whole has aged fairly well with the years. Much like many games from CEs time and even before, it won’t ever have the same appeal and sparkle that it did when we first played it. But fond memories can bring us back and hopefully allow us to look past the poor graphics to just play it and enjoy it the same way our younger self did.

Yup. I played a match of Custom Edition the other day. It was Blood Gulch CTF with a experimental mod adding a “Gravity Gun” It was basically all power weapons wrapped into one. It was the most fun I’ve had in awhile
