Does anyone know if 343 has, at any point, talked about a Firefight mode in Infinite? I wasn’t a fan of Warzone in H5 and Firefight in Reach had a ton of weird latency issues. It was an absolute blast in ODST and it would be fun to see a return to form. Would be even cooler if the community could eventually create their own Firefight maps/modes via Forge. I know it’s not on the top of 343’s priority list as they have their hands full but I was just wondering if I missed anything about it…

I think the earliest we’ll hear about “Firefight” from 343 is if some intern left their food in the microwave for 10 minutes.

Firefight will probably be used as hype for a new season, since it is a pretty big mode

Unfortunately, nothing has been mentioned yet. I’m also really hoping that Firefight comes at some point, PvE stuff is something I prefer over PvP, and Firefight always scratched that itch for me better than coop campaign.

A Reach/ODST style firefight has never been part of 343’s game objectives… after Reach, there was no firefight in Halo 4 and it was seemingly replaced by Spartan Ops (remember that?) and with Halo 5 it came well after game launch and only as an adjunct to Warzone and was no where as flexible and fun as Reach…… there has been no mention of Firefight at all in the context of Infinite… 343 has this holier than thou attitude with “their” game modes rather than recognizing that the Bungie created game modes were and still are the gold star of the Halo franchise… rather than giving many options on what Halo players want to,play in their Halo game like Bungie did, 343 seems obsessive about forcing players to play certain game modes of their own creations….I patiently await season 2 and additional game modes but I don’t hold any hope that firefight is on the horizon….

You wear the coatings we tell you to wear, no cross core customization! You play the maps we want you to play, no veto system! You play the modes we want you to play, no match composer! You play Halo the way we want you to, no live service!

Its been over 7 years and its never been mentioned once.
Not even one “we hear you loud and clear, the team is looking into it”
They haven’t mentioned Infection.
Guess that’s not coming
While we’re on the, they haven’t mentioned Infection, Firefight, Grifball, or Warzone.
So guess none of those are coming.
Also, Shotty Snipers since those weren’t mentioned.

People have joked that infinite will be a complete game in 10 years.
I never took that seriously, but it might really be true.
Were still waiting on coop and forge.
They wont even answer if forge will be monetized.
There is barely any community interaction at all.
I doubt 343 has even started making a form of firefight.

This needs to be an addon or something at least part of Halo Infinite for sure. Free or to pay for. Firefight is a much better experience than Spartan Ops was in Halo 4.

Forge is one for S3
Co-op was for S2 but it is delayed so not anymore
I wouldn’t be surprised if they have a BR be one for another season.

I think that since a lot of those are gametypes, they got a shot of coming out in a couple of years.
Even if theres been no confirmation from 343.
But firefight and warzone require a lot more. So maybe in 4 years.

Infection/grifball/assualt/juggernaut/VIP/Extraction probably coming sometime in seasons 2-4.
Those I expect to be out after a year or so.
Maybe Season 6 for Firefight/Season 9-10 for Warzone
