3/4 of my friends list was playing Borderlands 2 last night. Suffice it to say its a new game, and what I understand its a good one with an open world, exploration, gathering aspect to it.
Just wait til November 6, I’m sure Reach will take another hit.
I think that it is more likely that people are fed up with reach, and want to play another game while waiting for Halo 4, not necesarily that they want to play a new game. For example, this summer halo 3’s population climbed dramatically, from around 3,000-5,000 all the way up to 15,000 people online.
It could also be that people are just trying to find a game to end this “gaming drought” that has plagued the xbox for the past 2 months
Of course when a highly-anticipated new game comes out, existing games populations may dwindle. Will we know if that is the exact reason? probably not.
Whether it happened or not, does it matter? As long as there are people still playing you will be able to play online mm. If you think this is something to post about, check the Halo:Reach population count after Nov.6th
No surprise there with the popularity of the game. Any game with a large fan base will have most of the attention the day of it’s release. It’ll be back and forth for me once Halo 4 releases.
> It happened with ME3 came out too. Pretty standard for gamers to play the most recent game when it comes out.
Not in 2007 and 2008 when Halo 3 was dominating every game!
And, I haven’t been able to play Halo Reach in weeks due to school, study and my gaming room being revamped, but hopefully will be able to play again soon. I’m probably gone brutal at playing.
