This should seriously not be a problem now that we have scripting.
We can even go as far as making the gound crack underneath the pod when it lands.
Welding and scripting don’t play nice together.

I have put some spawn points into it, they seem to work with the minimal testing I’ve conducted so far. I have 8 initial spawn points, one on each ‘wall’ of the map and then two regular spawn points on each ‘wall’, on either side of the initial spawn (16 in total).

It’s basically a map in the shape of an octagon, 8 walls and a floor haha. It’s used for practicing strafing, accuracy and the like.

The drop pod right? you should be able to, in Reach I made one but it was a large crate on some propane tanks, so you would shoot the top of the tank and stand in the center, then just before it hit the ground you would jump. Works if done correctly, from any height with any health. As for the scripting, it would all have to be done individually and set to do different motions with different buttons. Takes time but its definitely possible.

Another one you could do that was a pain to get it right but you wouldn’t get hurt from it was a barricade pod
Oh man that would be awesome
I would love it, I really wish they would have more ‘fan service’ with ODST. Being an op space marine is cool and all, but man, I loved ODST. Imagine starting a game out of a drop pod in first person view, rather than the cut scene.
