If you use the same Microsoft account for both and you’ve received an Xbox invitation, I don’t think you’ll be getting a PC one.

“There’s no guarantee that you’ll get the same platform each time, or your preferred platform unfortunately - every platform needs a certain quote of users to balance things out.”

I have gotten into the Xbox flight, but was also hoping to get the Steam version. I do prefer playing the MCC on PC over console as of recently, so I was hoping to get into the PC side of things. I’d happily test on both if I receive a steam key also.
Unfortunately, it seems you can get into platforms you didn’t opt into!

Funny enough, I got both the Xbox flight and Windows Store flight.
Generally not, but this flight was one of those outlying times where it did happen for some users. Here’s a short quote from Postums regarding that:
> Opted out folks got invited because we had a group not get cleared out appropriately from a backend list. And rather than revoke the access for everyone, we decided to just send them actual invites on the platforms they were already ingested for.
Unless they do a fourth wave of invites, you would need to play on Xbox if you wanted to jump in and play.

Yeah I did that and instructed others to do the same. None of us have received a reply yet outside of “we’ll let you know.” I’m fine with missing the flight, just inconvenient.
I wish I did. I got invited to the Xbox flight when I only wanted a PC invite.
For the flight of Halo 3 ODST I received a key for steam and received a test for xbox, and had only verified that for consoles so was surprised that I received two keys in a nutshell.
I hope the flight to Halo 4 reaches me again for console.
