Has anyone else's view on H5 completely changed?

I’ll be the first to admit, when this game came out I despised it almost fully but being a Halo fanboy I played it and loved it just as I did Halo 4.

I complained multiple times on the forum about Sprint, sometimes radar, how this game felt COD like, the rank system and how it wasn’t challenging. In my opinion it was going to be another Halo 4 flop. The only way I could play Halo 4 was if it was with friends.

I have to say I apologize to 343 for my complaints, as I’ve been glued to this game and every aspect of it(multiplayer wise). I’m no reviewer or expert on game mechanics but this is one of the best multiplayer of Halo I’ve ever played.

Im loving how there is at least some rank system while I prefer 1-50, it’s a HUGE step up from nothing. I think 343 finally understands there needs to be a ranking system to keep people coming back.

There is no doubt PLENTY of things 343 needs to fix and get right and I’m in no way saying this game is the perfect game and everyone needs to buy it but it’s certainly how I’m feeling.

-Radar needs to be fixed
-More maps(I know they’re on there way)
-Arena ranking needs to learn from BTB’s system, where even if you won every game you were put into Diamond.
-Hopefully they can somehow expand the Spartan Ranks in the future, maybe from 152 to 200.
-Social Playlists(I know they’re on there way)

Just somethings I feel would make the long term playability and more people coming back daily.

So to conclude, has anyone else’s view completely changed from Launch Day to now?

TL;DR - I thought Halo 5 sucked the first week or 2 but now believe it is pretty damn great(multiplayer wise). I told my friends I would buy Black Ops 3 and Battlefront but haven’t even set a date in my head to buy them. I’m stuck on Halo and love it.

My opinion of it changed a little. But, not enough to get me to buy it after a rental. In fact, I made a thread very similar to this one a few days ago

I agree with ALOT of the things you say on that post. I hated Halo 4 and Reach wasn’t much better. I think it’s the fact I’ve finally accepted that 343 isn’t Bungie and they’re going to do what they want. It kinda sucks I know.

Also maybe because I’ve swens how much it’s improved from Halo 4 to Halo 5.

But trust me man I agree with you 100 percent on most things!

Love the game, it just needs a region filter for matchmaking and I’ll be playing for years. If not, it’ll be gathering dust in a few months.

I’ve liked it from the start. Really good entry into halo series.
It’s as good as Halo 3 which is the best in the series (flame suit on)
Solo story bit meh but mp is great.
And it improves every time i play so good support from 343.
