Whenever I play FF Matchmaking, except for in Score Attack, this strange lag occurs. It’s only with movement though. I’ll hit the left stick to the side and it will be about half a second before my player starts moving. It really throughs me off and ruins the experience for me. And it’s not that I have a bad connection, because in regular MM this never happens. I was wondering if this happens to anyone else. If this is a common issue, I hope 343 resolves it in the TU.
It has always been there. It’s in coop campaign too.
What the 1st poster said…
I’m feeling the lag too. And for it to be a day for a Huckleberry Magnum Challenge… OMFG!
It’s almost impossible to get on target with a Skirmisher let alone a Grunt…
LOVE IT!

Yeah,I think it’s mainly because of player connection, the game is slowed by a half second but it’s very noticable.
I never had problems with ODST Fire Fight but Halo Reach I’ve always had a small delay, Campaign is the same way too.
Yeah, I always notice it too. That’s why I never play matchmaking firefight.
If remember right its because FF has a diffrent type of Hosting system. If i say press A to jump, then i have to send the signal to the Host. The host then has to send that signal to all the other players, this way same stuff will happen on everybodys screens. So if a player has bad Ping and the host has bad Ping then there will be a delay in everything happening in FF. Bungie has posted about this on their forum.

I just don’t understand why they’d use a different hosting system… With the way it ALWAYS lags, it doesnt matter who’s hosting there’s always that delay… It’s annoying and its honestly the only reason I don’t play FF so much. If there were some way to change the hosting system tho (hint hint 343i) to where there’s not that delay, if thats even possible, I’d probably enjoy FF way more.

Yeah if this is fixed I’d play a lot of FF. Please fix it 343.
because unlike multiplayer, which can only have 16 at a time on it, ff and other co-op modes have four people… plus more than 20 AIs to account for at a time.

Ye I always have that lag, hence why I rarely play FF. It’s absent in score attack but that playlist sucks donkey balls.
Score Attack rules! Where else can you get most of the FF challenges without other people bothering you?

Couldn’t care less about FF challenges. I only bother with the ones for multiplayer.
