The thing ive always hated about halo campaigns is you can do the hardest mission, on the hardest difficulty, and pass the hardest part just by sitting back with a BR and picking em off one by one.
This is why ive always liked the flood, they charge at you and make you think on your feet and is much more fun, fast paced, and scary. I have never understood why the covenant AI just stare at you until you pass a certain distance, or just let you shoot at them until you reach a certain distance. They just stand there usually not even fighting back.
I really hope they made the AI more aggressive. Whats your guys thoughts?
Uhm,considering that Cortana called them “a sort of defensive AI”…
Then you obviously did NOT play Reach’s Campaign on Legendary by your self.

Actually i guess this could be an exception, i was very pleased with the AI on reach compared to the other halos.
I’ve never felt like that. Especially on Legendary.

Doesnt mean they have to be stupid and just sit there like in the other halos.
> I’ve never felt like that. Especially on Legendary.
Seriously? I remember on halo 2 and halo 3, id just get a br find a rock and sit there until i was out of ammo and repeat.
Even on legendary, all it took was a little time.

She meant that they’re used to defend Requiem.

So you’re saying that because you chose to take the cheap way of doing it, the game was bad?

That’s the thing, I try and use everything. You’re obviously going to feel that way if you use the most OP weapons in the game, especially those that keep the enemies away from you.

Exacly so thay are defending the planet, not attacking you.If you go towards them they become more aggressive.

The AI was bad because it was easily fooled or manipulated. Dont put words in my mouth.

Oh well that makes a little more since. Are they friendly until you attack them?

Why wouldnt i do the most efficient way? Its the game developers job to make a game hard, not mine.
I have always considered enemy AI in halo as far more superior to other games. With all the different enemies and how they react differently to your presense. I don’t know what games you were playing if you could just sit back all day. Maybe in reach you can do it on certain levels like tip of the spear but halo 2 brutes always charged at you and in halo 3 i can’t remember sitting back and picking enemies off.

Yeah was about to say that. On legendary, sitting back nearly gets me know where in Reach. The AI’s don’t mess around and move behind cover too much. They elites are freaking sponges. The AI’s are all ready to fight from a good distances.

But that’s irrelevant if you just play the game the way it was meant to be played. You’re making it sound as if it’s a gamebreakingly urgent issue that requires the utmost attention.

That’s a pain in the -Yoink- IMO
I find AI in Halo impressive
Your saying the AI was bad because they camped just as you do? The only thing i see wrong with the AI from before was that their awareness at long ranges was poor. They shouldnt start rushing you from 5 miles away. If anything i would think all they would need is a handful of snipers to take you out from long distances which was pretty much there in every game. So… Stop camp’n bro…Go and kill the ai instead of camping.

The way it was meant to be played was by doing the most efficient method of killing the covenant. I did that and found it was too easy.
