Ive barely heard anyone in game using mic and Im not sure if my settings are messed up or if no ones really talking all that much.
I’ve being playing a lot since the beta dropped (finished my 20 weeklies plus the extra challenge) and I’ve heard people talking in, I think, maybe 2 games.
I tried yesterday but I’m assuming either people don’t have mics or just don’t want to talk.
At least on PC, I believe the default audio option is set to ‘push to talk’ and I don’t think most people know what their push to talk button is…
So I was having this issue. My friends were telling me they were hearing people, but I couldn’t hear anything. I had to go into my sound settings and set my “Default Communications Device” to my headset. For some reason, it was set to my monitor which doesn’t have speakers. Most people don’t use their mic, but it could also be because they can’t hear other people talking.
I’ve played over 40 matches and have yet to hear another person use a Mic, i use one and i know people hear me do to responses in text, but i never see anyone use them.
I’ve heard people talking in the game but have not used it myself. I immediately muted all voice chat as soon as I heard someone washing a ton of dishes and making an obsessive amount of clinking noises. Got annoying really fast.
Ive tryed using it but gave up after no one uses it, so just went and found a team on the halo discord to play with
voice chat is broken/not working for me and quite a lot of people on xbox! I can’t unmute it! (Series one x)
Having to play in party chat with xbox friends in my fireteam.
My mic settings are set to open, it disabled by default which is wrong IMHO.
Have logged a ticket with 343.
Think I just need to find a group to play the game with/gaming clan. Only got one friend that plays Halo but he’s halfway across the world these days.
