Has anyone actually found a use for thrust?

Absolutely pointless imo. Hunters know where you’re headed and when they charge it doesn’t take you far enough away to be useful.

I’ve heard the final upgrade with camo is good for cheesing certain things, but otherwise I totally agree, didn’t use it at all on my heroic playthrough. I expect I will on legendary to increase my mobility a bit in boss fights and for the camo, but it’s easily my least used / least wanted equipment of the 4 we have.

I used double thrust against a couple bosses and it worked fine.

It helped at longer ranges to throw off the aim of projectiles, as they aim perfectly where you’re going to be with the speed you have at the moment of firing.
Other than that it felt like camo didn’t do much.

Most enemies seemed to know I where I was.

Yeah that’s when it’s the most useful, most enemies stop for a few seconds, lets you get your shields up and navigate to weapons where needed - especially useful on the last boss for me as well.

Yeah the camo (while a really cool concept) doesn’t seem to affect enemies, at least in legendary. I found thrusters useful to avoid shots that I saw coming that would kill me. It’s best used at range or to create distance imo

I normally use it with the hunters get them to smack you and thrust to the side and hit em in the back rinse and repeat

Popping up over ledges on Recharge

I only used it for Escherum. That’s it.

How did you handle the Chieftans with Hammers?
30 metres range on near instant lunge. Thrusters saved me once every three times.

I switched between the grapple and sensor for most of the campaign. I was grappling around the stupid harbinger arena like an idiot, and using sentinel beam.

I never found it useful either. I prioritized upgrading my shields and the drop wall first. Then grapple. Didn’t even upgrade thrust yet

The thrust was the most used ability for me in the LASO run by a country mile. It is essential if you want to skip many fights and the camo works against most enemy types. It’s the higher ranking enemies that do not fall for it such as the White Elites or Jetpack Brute Cheiftans.

In my Heroic and Easy runs I found the grapple to be most useful. While I like the concept of Dropshield, I barely ever used it because I was too busy using grapple.

dodging hunters, snipers, swords, nades. I use it allll the time. the camo is nice to get a moment to reload too.

You can double shot with the thrust

Some of the legendary guides I’ve been watching as I prepare for LASO would beg to differ about it’s usefulness.
