Has anybody heard from 343i?

Would like to know what 343i Agenda is for 2022. I have not heard anything on these forums about what they are working on and what is getting fixed.

Halo: Infinite Holiday.

Surely by now they are back in the office, but the fact that they have not broken radio silence about literally anything is so strange and a big middle finger to us regular players who are persevering and being patient waiting for these fixes and updates.

-Yoink!- y’all are literally -Yoink!- supervisors.

Remember when Bungie gave an update literal every Wednesday and Friday?
Even on weeks where not much was going on there was always a post that was like “we are still here working on this thing for you guys. Here is a picture of Jerome doing Jerome things!” Those were the days.

You would think with technology increasing so rapidly stuff like this wouldnt be a problem in 2022.

We got a tweet saying that they are working on putting the information together, see: https://twitter.com/343Postums/status/1479150207543611392

Unfortunately not much more than that. I’d have hoped that the results of that would land last week but so far they did not.

Radio silence, but if they are still working on the issues and they have no eta when it will be solved / deployed, then what should they say.
Copy/Paste of their last post “we are investigating the …”? Wouldnt be helpful.

I’d be willing to bet that they are letting the event conclude and then will share info afterwards. I guess hoping that it will keep us distracted long enough for them to get their ducks in a row prior to an official community update

I only saw a Staten tweet saying there are more anti-cheat measures coming.

Jesus Christ. It’s been less than a week since they’ve been back in the office. Chill, y’all. Holy crap.

They accidentally knocked themselves out with that expensive champagne popping. See ya guys after vacation then we might update you with a message that we are back and working!

I’d rather see a notice on Waypoint or the news feed on the landing page of Infinite. Twitter can be a royal pain in the -Yoink!- to traverse and find things if you aren’t on it regularly.

Agreed, Twitter is not the place for public anouncements - I only found this because I went hunting for information. And basically it wasn’t information but rather just a confirmation that some response was being put together (in all likelihood it will result in a blog post).

If I were running a company I’d be working through the holidays. Giving updates every week. Company’s who care about their products do this.

It’s pretty clear that you will defend 343 even if they fail time and time again.

Their agenda is for you to keep buying overpriced colors in the store because servers cost money.

Other than that, radio silence.

They’ve been on vacation longer than the game has been out. That’s why we’re pissed.

Haha. Yeah you wouldn’t have many people working for you in the game industry since virtually all studios in that industry take the last two weeks in December off. Why on Earth would anyone work for you if you’re forcing them to work through Christmas and New Years?

There’s a reason you don’t run a game studio.

Aight, I’ll bite. Suppose that you’re running 343 and it’s time to do the weekly update. The big thing on everyone’s mind is when the BTB playlist is getting fixed, but the team still can’t fix the issue or identify the root cause. What is your weekly update about?

I’ve already addressed this elsewhere in other threads that you’re in. I’ve called some of their monetization decisions scummy, I complained about the challenge system, I called the marketing for the Tenrai event deceptive… I’m sure that if I dive back I can find more that I criticized.

However I’d like to flip your accusation on its head. “It’s pretty clear that you will attack 343 even if they make improvements to Halo Infinite time and time again.”

Hell, you ranted in a giant thread, that is now locked, that you don’t like how feminine Halo Infinite is because it has flowers and cat ears.

Pretty sure they’re not still on vacation. Almost everyone I know in the game industry returned to office this past Tuesday.

But if you’re talking about the campaign, which released right before every game studio goes dark for Christmas/New Years, that’s true. If you’re talking about multiplayer, which launched on November 15th right? Then you’re wrong.

Someone said before that they shouldn’t/wouldn’t report anything if they didn’t have anything to report. I just hope something’s coming. We’re getting kinda starved for news…

Yup it’s been a long few weeks. I’d kill for a 2022 roadmap that shows the major releases and any planned playlist updates.

The devs should have the same mind set. How on earth is anyone ok taking a break while there’s people getting upset over the game in large numbers? I wouldn’t be able to have a vacation like that. It should’ve been the devs priority to get things done. They don’t deserve a break if they released an unfished game. It’s like working in a restaurant. You don’t get to go home when you want. You have to make sure the place is clean even if it takes you all night. If you don’t do your job you are fired. So don’t give me that vacation BS when I myself have worked through holidays AND worked over time to get the job done. It’s pretty clear you never had a deadline in your life before.

Idk maybe a post that explains why they do the things the do. Or a road map. Or just even a hello. It’s litterally been radio silent on a game that’s not finished. It’s not like the game is good and most are enjoying it. Right now it’s a dumpster fire rolling down the hill and the only reason people don’t see it is because “good gameplay”.

I’ve defended 343 up and down, left and right. I even said the same thing back then about forge. I was like " it’s ok that it’s delayed" boy was a wrong. That kind of thinking led us to where we are now with no content. What is there to defend now? What’s a defendable action that they have taken since launch? No seriously. What have they done?

I can list off what I like about the game.
I think the repulsor is cool.
I like the camando

But what else? If I don’t like it then what am I defending? And what should 343 be defended for? What strides are they making right now?
