It’s always been that way haha. I think i picked up a kill on a guy where my teammate ran down the shields.
Brute plasma rifle is actually really good but yeah the sentinal beam is the same its always been,hold down the trigger till it overheats to get a kill.
Am I the only person who likes the Sentinel Beam? It was beast in 2 against Flood, and in 3 against Spartans. The new movement makes it harder to get kills though.
Idk, could get kills in H2/H2A/H3 with it but H5 I’m struggling, other people can kill me though. And the brute plasma rifle is really good if you excel with plasma weapons
Sounds like nothing new. It was not good in Halo 2, don’t remember if it was in Halo 3, and it wasn’t all to great in Halo 2 anniversary multiplayer either. It’s still cool to have, can’t wait to see if they add variants for it.
I dont have killed anything with it.
Used it a couple of times in super fiesta needless to say didn’t get any kills with it. Used it in heroic firefight against a boss knight and I don’t think it took any health away from it. it’s definitely an always sell req.
Lol, Sentinel Beams are effective against the flood and building.
They were never really good to begin with, just fun to have and use. The only reason it’s back is because the player’s asked for it.
It’s more a custom game’s weapon than Arena/Warzone.
Effective against vehicles though.

Seems decent to me. I’ve gotten a nice streak with the one time I used it. You have to be very close with it to do anything.
Range seems to suck with the sentinel beam.
Judging from these responses I now know what I won’t be using.
I killed 3 spartans in super fiesta yesterday
Hell, if you want a fun way to use a Sentinel Beam, just use the weapons glitch and combine it with a Scattershot, or an Oni Chaingun turret in Forge.
I think I may have killed a spartan by accident with it once in fiesta. I’m dropping that weapon from now on.

I got one in super festia. He was too busy fighting a teammate to notice I was unloading the beam on him. Lol fun to use. I think I can get more kills using a Spartan laser than this thing

I combined it with a Nornfang, SPNKR Prime and Blood of Suban. All fantastic combinations!

I find them (both, sentinel and brute plasma rifle) pretty fun and easy to use tbh. I love using it.
yeah it reminds me of the focus rifle, the sentinel beam needs a buff or heck make the beam curve to get Spartans, kinda like promethean weapons except in a beam form.
