Has 343i commented on universal cosmetics?

Has 343i commented anywhere on cross core cosmetics and universal shaders? Just curious, because they must know by now how the community feels. I have no issue with paying for cosmetics. I have both the premium pass and the Cloud 9 kit, but I’d like to know what is the future of customization. Right now it’s honestly just sad in it’s current state.

As for my knowledge they haven’t got any comment regarding that. I mean universal cosmetic should be a thing since the beggining, would be awesome to see some older helmets on your new mark vii suit.

They’d sell a lot more stuff if it were the case. I hope that my cloud 9 kit is interchangeable with other armor one day. My only gripe with this game is cosmetic. The gameplay is stellar.

The gameplay as a veteran on Halo it feels like Halo. Totally. The best multiplayer experience in a long time.

Universal cosmetics will change the entire game cosmetics as it is right now, but it can be posible that in future updates there will be universal cosmetics that can be used on Mark V - Mark VI - Mark VII and another armors that I beleive that will be added.

I haven’t heard anything from them yet. I’m disappointed too, we’ve always been able to customize freely. My MCC Spartan is wearing a mix of recon, ODST, Halo Online, and Norse fantasy. That freedom is one of the things that always made Halo’s customization stand out. I don’t want to be stopped from mixing just because some people don’t think it would look good. Give us the choice.

It really is absolutely ridiculous how restrictive the customization is.

In Forza it’s like “Here, why don’t you decorate your Bugatti with a PNG of Deadpool holding the Taco Bell logo.”

But in Infinite it’s “WHAT?! YOU WANT TO USE THE CYAN AND GUN METAL GRAY COATING ON YOUR MKVII ARMOR?!?! ARE YOU MAD?!”

It’s obscene honestly.

Please 343 let us have more customization. Currently it is too restrictive

True. I grew up with Halo 1 in 2001 my brothers got an Xbox and we all played. Have played every installment since. Everything after reach didn’t feel like Halo to me, but infinite to its core is phenomenal, harkening back to Halo 2+3. Perfect execution of multiplayer, but it HURTS to have such hindered customization. I’m a vanity player. Game is solid, so why can’t I look as good as the game plays?

I don’t mind that they’re selling a $10 chest knife right now, but I am never buying it unless it can go on all armor cores. It’s a waste of money to only be able to partially use something that is (overpriced) but not unfairly priced.

A while back, they essentially said they might look into it. I don’t remember where I read this though, it might be in one of the inside Infinite blogs.

I hope so. I feel like the community as a whole would have preferred universal parts. Tbh I think a lot of us viewed cores as a base that wasn’t restrictive. Like a choice of having cloth or leather under your armor in a fantasy game ya know?

That would’ve been great while also allowing for custom armor presets that we could change between

It’d make for truly unique (heh kinda funny there) spartans

I’d love for coatings to be universal as well as make custom ones, HOWEVER, in regards to the making of a custom one I feel it’ll be a lot more difficult than people think cause when I go look at the coatings to try and figure out what colors what I’m usually left stumped

I don’t think the wheel means anything, it’s just showing you what some colors that have gone into the set are.

I believe you’re right, they would. As is, why would anyone using MK V [B] buy anything from the store? None of the stuff they’ve sold has worked with that core. Making items cross core compatible just makes them more appealing.

Coatings at the very least should be universal. I have a ton of coatings on one and armor on the other. Let me use the colors wherever

Theyre completely ignoring it

They had mentioned a looooong time back they were looking at our feedback around it. I think around the time the concept of Armor Cores became a thing. Past that though, I don’t think they’ve said anything whatsoever regarding it.
