Thank you for that better link, I don’t know how to make it so the video goes to that point  Oh well.

Pause it at whatever time you want and then ‘right click’ and select ‘copy URL at current time’ and then paste it in here. :stuck_out_tongue:

this is very disappointing no more fun ghost explosions against me face now i gotta throw a plasma and jump out of the way again rest in peace AL

FINALLY! I can actually splatter enemies and not have to worry about blowing up every time. It was one of the reasons why the Ghost in Reach was it’s most underpowered vehicle, aside from the mongoose (Which doesn’t really count because it’s mainly for transport, although some people use it differently…

I really thought the ghost would burst on impact with the hard light shield. That will be very useful against Prometheans in Campaign and Spartan Ops.

In multiplayer, I could see the Hardlight Shield being a good AA as a defense. Say you wanted to protect a player from enemy fire, Hardlight Shield would do that if you were standing in the correct spot.

People forget that now you can actually evade the ghost with just jumping like in Halo 3.

So, we are all fine.

Am I the only person that was disappointed by this? I was hoping that the HLS would be able to at the very least hold off or “catch” a ghost…

If a jackal can’t stop a ghost from splattering it with a shield then why would the hardlight shield be able to? Aren’t they the same tech?

Armor lock can burn in hell as far as the rest of the community is concerned.

if a hardlight bridge can hold several -Yoinking!- tanks then i think a hardlight (forerunner made) shield should be able to take a small vehicle hit and not break down. it is NOT based off covie tech.

bullets hit Hardlight Shield. splatter destroys Hardlight Shield and kills player.

just like it should be! Me Gusta!

i just gonna miss destroying vehicles in such a fun and frustrating way (frustrating for the pilot) hahahhahaha

Good decision. Surviving a speeding Ghost should’ve always been more demanding than simply pushing a button and destroying the Ghost.

Urgh. People only liked regularly splattering people in the Ghost because it was easy. That’s part of the reason why Armour Lock was created. Because you have cannons on your Ghost, USE THEM.

Then I suppose you could scientifically explain forerunner tech to me? No? Cause I don’t think either of us knows how this fictional technology should work. For gameplay balancing though, I think it’s far better that it doesn’t stop splatters. It took away one of the primary functions of the ghost.

I’d rather have everyone trying to splatter me than shoot me with their Ghosts. When someone tries to splatter me, I can at least dodge it and stick the Ghost with a Plasma Grenade. In case of someone using the plasma cannons, unless I have a power weapon, there is nothing I can do when the Ghost is way beyond the range of any of my weapons that could do damage.

In fact, I’d go as far as saying that I’d be happy if the turrets got nerfed so that people would have to splatter more. You see, there is nothing fancy at staying far away from the opponent and shooting at them while they can do nothing. It’s much more interesting to try to find a way where you can splatter the opponent so that they won’t notice early enough to dodge.

And really, if you fail to dodge a Ghost, you deserve to get splattered. After all, it’s not too hard keeping eye on all the Ghosts you see on the map, staying out of the center of the map or open areas and finally, when encountering a Ghost, simply dodging it.
