I just gotta say there its something wrong with this shield sometimes when I used it I cant jump with it and sometimes I can jump so I wonder wtf is going on with it?
I noticed that once in a Spartan Ops game. I have no idea. It’s a pretty strange armor ability either way. I use it in Big Team games because it’ll stop pretty much anything short of a rocket/incineration cannon/tank.
I’ve survived being splattered by a ghost, sniper rounds, spartan laser rounds, concussion rifles. The thing’s overpowered, jump or no jump.

It does stop Spartan Laser shots.

Right, so there’s another weapon that looks like a spartan laser.
It reduces damage from splatters. If a ghost hits you head on, you’ll probably die anyway. If it simply clips you, you might survive. Trust me, give it a shot.
Spartan lasers I’m sure of though. I just survived a round in a game of BTB the other day.

Yeah, it’d be awesome if they did, even if it didn’t shoot it directly back at the person. Actually, I think I’d hate it if it did that. A random reflection would be awesome.

Well I for one do give a flying F but anyways back on topic…
It has never happen to me but it might haven been lag because I know that lag has caused a few things to not work properly.

thanks for the info, hopefully more people will add more in time because Ive seen one player doing it very often and i did try doing it can be done randomly I hope there its a trick, because it is effective for dodging grenades as I think is the hardlight shield only weakness (not counting vehicles)
I could jump with it over a week ago, now it won’t let me jump with it at all. Have no idea.

I know it reflects Fuel Rods at least. Lit it up once against a horde of Grunts, Jackals, and Elites; half the Grunts had Cannons. Fun times were had…
OT: I’ve never jumped with it, but like what was said, might be lag (which I never seen to have as much as a problem with as some, so I wouldn’t know)
It doesn’t stop “anything short of a rocket/incineration cannon/tank”; it reflects direct incineration cannon and tank round hits as well. No idea if it’ll protect you from a direct hit from a rocket.

Not trying to be a D about it but all of you who are interest in wanting to know what the hardlight shield can stop or not can create another thread this doesn’t have anything to do with the topic please back on the topic, I know some of us who like using the hardlight shield will like to know why sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt, or if there its a special trick to do it because is annoying as heck dealing with stupid grenades.
