Why would the Hardlight Shield NOT be canon? If it’s in a Halo game then it is canon unless 343i says otherwise.

I’m not sure if it has ever been explored in detail , but it is pretty much the same as a hard light bridge. Somehow, the Forerunners were able to manipulate light particles into different shapes that would serve their needs.
